Danner Light
As far as this boot is concerned, it’s still the golden era of backpacking. To build it, Danner bootmakers sought out leathers identical to those used on the original model. This reintroduced classic features stitchdown construction and ground-chewing Vibram® Kletterlift outsoles. Full-grain leather and 1000 Denier nylon uppers deliver outstanding protection and support in a relatively lightweight package.

- Danner's 650 EE last offers a roomier fit without sacrificing support and stability. We recommend sizing down a half size for the best fit.
- Vibram® Kletterlift outsole is specifically designed for comfort and durability. The heel provides lightweight comfort as well as superb shock absorption. The compound guarantees great traction and stability on both wet and dry surfaces

Danner's 650 EE last offers a roomier fit for relaxed comfort while still offering rugged support and stability. This EE is not as wide as others so it offers the most universal fit for casual, everyday wear. We recommend sizing down a half size for the best fit.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Bought at EMS in 1958 and have resoled 3X, but still going strong. Mostly used in Colorado for everything the Rockies could throw at me, including snow and ice climbing. My feet have spread a bit, but the boots are still OK in fit.

These boots are the ones I have been dying to get. The traditional look and feel are what drew me to them. Being an owner of the Desert RAT, Acadia and Roseburg(limited run, similar to the Sierra) I wanted something I could wear around town and still handle the outdoors. I've worn these to church with a pair of corduroy pants and a vintage brown and tan tie. They go well with a pair of jeans and a tee shirt also. I've never understood people who say there was no break in, maybe my feet are sensative but I feel I need to break in my running shoes. These felt fine out of the box and now that I've been wearing them, for a few months, almost on a daily basis they are feeling more and more like the 'fits like a glove' feel.
Just today I passed my department's pack test for wildland firefighting(3 mile hike with a 45lbs pack under 45 min). Normally I'd wear my running shoes but I chose to go with my Danner Lights and couldn't have been happier, no blisters and I feel I could have kept going. I think I'll use them every year from here on out.
My only worry with owning so many Danner boots is that I won't have enough time to wear them out. I want to experience Danner's recrafting service.
