Our all-new Modern Firefighter combines the supportive benefits of an alpine hiker with the stringent standards of an NFPA-certified boot. Featuring polishable, full-grain leather and a waterproof Danner Dry lining, the boot is built to live up to the rigorous demands of our wildland firefighters. The durable, Vibram S587 outsole is specially designed for oil-and-slip-resistant traction over rugged and high-angle terrain.

- Composite Toe (NMT)
- Made from non-metallic materials, our composite safety toe does not conduct heat or cold and will not trigger metal detectors. As expected, it meets ASTM F2413 safety standards for impact and compression resistance.
- Removable OrthoLite Footbed
- Multiple layers of varying density are combined for maximum cushioning and support. The entire footbed is made of open-cell polyurethane for better heat dissipation and air circulation.
- How It Fits
- The 851 last is an update to our popular 850 last. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. Offering a specific heel shape that locks the heel in place for better fit and comfort on the back end of the boot, this supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
