Picked up a pair of these boots to replace my Iron Rangers and am very happy with my choice. Right out of the box these were loads more comfortable than many of my other boots, virtually no break in time needed. Excellent toe box room with little to no heel slippage. I found them to be very true to size, no need to down size, especially if you wanted thicker socks. Have worn in the rain and sun in the PACNW feeling good the whole time. You can tell by the cut of the leather, the weight of the boot, and the overall feel this is a high quality product and will last for years.

I'd also say that though these look like a Friday night or office shoe they're good workers too. Jeans or khakis, it don't matter. I've taken these out cutting firewood and worked on my dad's farm in them. A quick rinse gets them right back into office mode.

If I had to make a complaint, I wasn't too keen on the color at first. I was told that each pair had it's unique color and the only pair in my size happened to be pretty light. I picked up a jar of shoe creme ($6) and was able to change this easily though.

I'm a Portland grown, transplant to Seattle, but look forward to trips home and seeing your factory store. Soon I'll have more Danner's than Nikes or Brooks! Keep up the good work!

As mentioned I do have the first edition but I like the look of the second more. My next Danner boots will be the vertigo!

I've owned these boots for just over a year. I wear them constantly, and really enjoy their look and feel. But the leather has completely worn through at the back of the boot where it meets the heel. This has now happened to both boots, which I did not expect given the price. Enjoy them while they last, because it won't be long.

    The Quality you expect

    By Graham

Comments about Forest Heights II Piedmont:

I don't think there's much of a difference between the forest heights I or II but this is a top notch boot. Looks great in the office, and holds up great while doing field work. It really molds to your foot and feels absolutely comfortable walking or standing for a long time, and that's without insoles! Toe box is a little long for my size (compared to other boots I own), but I think a half size down would be to tight and narrow. Its not anything I worry about, and my advice is you shouldn't either. I do a lot of research before I buy, and Danner is at the top of my list. Great product, Great investment, and GREAT customer service. If you have a question call their number and talk to someone who actually knows about their product. That's what I did.

Would purchase again, comfortable, durable, stylish

    By Eric

Comments about Forest Heights II Piedmont:

I have now owned a pair for over a year. I wear these boots 1-2 times a week. Mostly work in office environment, but do wear out and about in the city. I have to say these are very comfortable boots. The leather is still in good condition with some minor scratching, the soles have not worn down and seem to not feel slippery in the rain, and I always get compliments on the look. The sizing is pretty near true. I wear a 10.5 or a 10, and these fit perfect in a 10. I would definitely recommend a pair. Looking forward to purchasing another Danner boot.

    Good Boots

    By Frankie

    from Central coast, ca

Comments about Forest Heights II Piedmont:

I have had these boots for about one month. I looked at them for quite awhile online before purchasing. I was a bit hesatant to spent the amount of money without trying them on. After receiving them, very quickly thru regular shipping, I was happy I made the purchase. They felt good from the first step. The upper around the ankle was a bit stiff and needed breaking in. The leather quality is top notch. I used Sno-Seal to weather proof and condition the leather. It made the color a little darker.

Thre is a draw back with these boots. The upper leather and stitching is built to last. I am concerned the sole is going to wear out before the actual boot does. I don't see how they can be re-soled/recrafted when the time comes. I have other Danner boots that can be re-soled/recrafted. If these boots had that ability, I would give them a five star rating.

Overall I am happy with the boots
