Its custom silkscreen pattern comes from the ‘a‘ali‘i plant, a native species that stands firm in harsh upland winds. Using an ancient Hawaiian technique of hand carving designs into bamboo, Sig Zane artfully translates the ‘a‘ali‘i flower’s natural form into a graphic pattern that highlights the ‘a‘ali‘i as a symbol of resilience.
