Land Crafted, River Approved.

Danner’s first boots may have been built for loggers, but today we make footwear for every challenge the Pacific Northwest has to offer. The mountains here are home to glacier-fed rivers, lazy streams and crystalline lakes, where having the right gear spells the difference between the adventure of a lifetime and packing it in two days early. Durable and quick-drying, the Rivercomber is built for stream crossings and river floats, canyoneering and Class III rapids. So you can feel confident putting in and paddling out to parts unknown.

Built-in Drainage

Getting wet may be unavoidable, but it doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. The Rivercomber has a mesh upper with side ports and a perforated midsole, so you can move smoothly when you’re in the water and be dry in two shakes when you get out.

Durability That You Can Count on

Rivers, streams and lakes are as hard on gear as any environment out there. To build the Rivercomber, we use the same 1000 denier Cordura nylon as we do on the legendary Danner Light. A rubber toe cap adds extra abrasion resistance to guard against jutting roots and sharp rocks.

Traction Designed For the Water

Danner partnered with Vibram to create our exclusive wave grip outsole, with a tread pattern that increases traction on slippery rocks or sandy lake bottoms. The heel construction locks down the fit, so you have all the support you need for wading through deep, narrow gorges or portaging your canoe.
