It's spun with super-soft, 100% polyester Octa yarn fabric—a thin, high-performance material knit in Japan developed to capture warmth more efficiently than heavier, bulkier materials like fleece or down. Featuring a large zippered Kangaroo handwarmer pocket, thumb loops, and a webbing bound hem, cuff and hood reinforced with zig-zag stitching, the Octa is your go-to for going the distance.

On the Danner UL Octa Pullover, ours is characterized by a zippered closure on each side to best secure your valuables.
- Octa Knit Fabric
Octa Knit Fabric, developed by Teijin Frontier, is a unique 100% polyester fiber (58% of which is recycled) with a hollow, octopus-like cross-section featuring eight projections. It offers exceptional softness, breathability, and warmth for base- and mid-layer applications like the Danner UL Octa Pullover. The hollow core and gaps between the projections are designed to trap air, providing lightweight insulation and warmth without the bulk of materials like fleece or down. Additionally, the tighter knit of the face fabric makes it more durable and less likely to snag and tear.
