Generations of hikers have put their trust in Danner boots, and for good reason. Craftsmanship and technical innovation are what set our boots apart. So when we tasked ourselves with creating a hunting boot that combines the best features of Danner hikers with a design that's classic yet modern, the Recurve was born. The boot has a waterproof upper that keeps you dry while scouting creek bottoms or marshy ground. The high-rebound midsole provides comfortable cushioning for long days in the field.

Heritage-inspired design
Inspired by Danner's Grouse and Sierra hunt boots, the Recurve has a full-grain leather upper with suede or tear-resistant nylon details for a classic look that provides durability with a modern edge.

Warm and dry no matter what
On preseason scouts and early-season elk hunts, the weather can be rainy and the terrain soupy. The Danner® Dry waterproof lining keeps feet dependably dry no matter the conditions, while optional 400g Thinsulate insulation provides warmth for hunters in colder climates.

When we heard hunters were using the Danner Mountain 600 for early-season scouting and hunting, we knew it was time to build a hunting boot with the same performance as that legendary hiker. The Vibram® SPE midsole provides comfortable cushioning that won't pack down over time. Designed exclusively for this boot, the Vibram® Recurve outsole uses Megagrip rubber with adaptive lugs and flex lines for reliable traction that keeps you steady on your feet.
