Overview

The Tramline Marquam brings easy wearing chukka style to Danner's original mountain boot aesthetic. Hand-crafted in Portland, Ore this boot features rich black full grain leather, Armortred outsoles, and all around great styling.

How it Fits

The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.

Comments about Tramline Marquam:

These are simply great shoes made by Danner, using classic styling with the finest leathers and components available. They took about an hour to break in :-) As soon as you put them on, you know these are quality shoes that will give you years of comfy service. When you wear them out, take them back to Danner and have them put a new sole on them. I travel a lot and need a shoe that I can go walking/exploring in, and these fit the bill.

I picked mine up at the Danner store in Portland, and the staff is really helpful. They have the complete Stumptown line and if you're lucky you might find a deal on a pair of Stumptowns!

Comments about Tramline Marquam:

It!s a great boot. Pricey but I really like them and expect to keep them a long time. My only gripe is that they aren't black. As in black black. They're a midnight blue, dark slate, graphite type color. Very nice bu if you wear black pants like I do then you'll notice the contrast

Worth your consideration if the look appeals to you!

By RickyRoma92

from Chicago, IL

Pros

  • Great style
  • Quality construction

Cons

  • Heal slippage

Best Uses

  • Casual

Comments about Tramline Marquam:

As consistent with the other comments, these boots are great looking. If you are researching them, then you also appreciate the aesthetic of these really hip looking boots. I have a wide foot and my foot uses every millimeter of the EE's width. So length and width work out for me. The initial break in period was wearing them to the office on a casual Friday. The firmness of the "frame" of the boot does create heel slippage. For me, a thicker pair of socks may prevent that, but then I would be compromised on the width. ie. it would be too tight. Definitely be aware of this issue. But all in all, I think that these boots will work out - in part - because I really want them too. Color is certainly a blue/black as of others have said. Probably a bit more towards a dark slate blue color. I actually prefer the look in lieu of being outright black.

Good-Bye, Sneakers!

By Victor John

Pros

  • Super comfortable

Cons

  • A Little Wide At Heel

Best Uses

  • Everyday around town

Comments about Tramline Marquam:

I've never liked sneakers for everyday informal use (as opposed to athletics), and these shoes are an ideal solution for me. They are as supple and comfortable as sneakers, and yet have the sturdiness and looks of a boot. I also own the Explorer 6" in the same size, and the latter are somewhat narrower, which gives great support in hiking. The Tramlines, on the other hand, are are a little wider, and are best worn with heavier socks, but I happen to like it that way. They can be a bit too loose at the heel, but if you lace them tight it's not a problem.

Danner quality, watch the size.

Comments about Tramline Marquam:

Da net said they only sell this boot in a EEE width. I wear a D width, but a pair of good insoles filled up the extra space.
