The Striker™ GTX® boot offers Danner toughness in a lightweight, lower profile, with the feel of an athletic shoe. The boot is lined in waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® and features a full-grain leather and 1000 Denier nylon upper for durability. Danner’s patented TERRA FORCE™ X Lite performance platform provides stability and support, and combined with the oil- and slip-resistant outsole, this boot delivers superior traction. Non-metallic construction won’t set off metal-based security systems.

This boot is built on our most popular last, the 850. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. This comfortable, supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

I've had two pairs of Danner's previously for work and have been verry happy with the quality. With this pair, an eyelet came out after seven months or so (right after the warranty expired, of course). My last pair were Ft. Lewis, and were American made....these Striker II's are imports...that might be the difference. I expected quality from Danners and was disappointed. I see I'm not the only one with this problem.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

old striker boot is one of the best boots i have ever owned for sure,however i just had to order a new pair.i was very happy to get my new boots till i read the comments about the eyelets falling out.could not believe it.i opened the box to check eyelets and some were falling out. never even wore them yet.very sad...go back to metal..please.

THE LACES ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH.... I TAKE MY BOOT ON AND OFF TWICE A DAY. NOW THE SOLE IS PEELING IN BACK FROM TRYING TO KICK THEM OFF (after 20 days).
NEVER HAD TROUBLE WITH OLD SPEED LACES OR SOLES. LEAVE THIS STYLE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ( I THOUGTH POLICE HAD THERE OWN LINE ALREADY? ) AND BRING BACK THE OLD STRIKER FOR MECHANICS AND DELIVERY DRIVERS.

Why did Danner stop making the old Striker boot. They are the best boots I've ever had!!!! Bring them back. I'm dissapointed with the Striker II's.

I like these boots alot! Danner replaced my first pair due to the aforementioned eyelet issues, and the eyelets ARE improved/corrected; they appear to be brass(which should get through metal detectors without much, if any, trouble), and are flat black where it matters. I use these on all terrains, and the outsoles showed virtually no wear after the first year of use. The boots are very comfortable once broken in, and are very durable. I am a Danner customer for life.
