Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping

I wear boots all the time. I finally wore out my first pair after 4-1/2 years.I have never had a pair last that long. The sole is still good, the leather is finally giving out. Just bought my second pair.

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 6" Plain Toe Work Boots:

I am a general contractor; on the job site every day. My boots take alot of abuse. I am very particular about my boots and wear handmade cowboy boots when not on the job.On the job, I am in Danners. I have been wearing Danners since 1982, and have had many pairs. Never wore a pair out yet. This boot is my favorite of all that I have had. Love them!!!

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 6" Plain Toe Work Boots:

These are the best fitted and most comfortable boots I have ever bought. I bought them for yard work, wood cutting, and any type of work. I liked them so much I started wearing them to work (in an office) and to church. 6 months ago I would have given 5 stars. However, 2 months ago I was putting them on and heard a rip. The material on the inside of the boot (around the heel/ankle area) separated from the padding/leather around the ankle. The leather around the ankle is very thin and cheap; it stains your socks and deteriorated quickly in my opinion. Putting the boots on now causes further damage. A shoe horn or duct tape should help fix the problem. I give 2 stars because I expect more from an expensive pair of boots from Danner. I have never had this problem from other manufacturers. I haven't decided if I will try them again. Based on other reviews, I am sure my faulty boots are not the norm; but it stinks getting the pair that falls apart.

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 6" Plain Toe Work Boots:

I bought my first pair of these 4 1/2 years ago. They have taken an incredible beating and just now need reworking. The leather is starting to separate from the sole and the inside has ripped. Not bad considering I've worked many months of 80+ hour work weeks and walked approximately 10-15 miles a day in these. I have even spilled hydraulic oil, cutting oil, chemicals, you name it on them. They've been through water, snow, and mud up to my ankles. When I tell others at work how long I've had them, they are always surprised since their "cheaper" boots only last maybe a year. These boots have more than paid for themselves. My only complaint is the laces. I've replaced them five times so far, but maybe that's from the welding and torch cutting. :)

I've worn the Workman style boot from Danner for about 5 years now. I wore the first pair for 4 years and now I'm 1 year into my second pair. I just love these boots for the comfort, look, and support/protection they provide at work and in everyday wear. Real leather and comfort, it doesn't get any better.
