Overview

Our most popular work boot – now built in Portland, Ore. We’ve developed a new Vibram Quarry outsole and upgraded the midsole to a single, solid piece for increased longevity. We’ve also updated the collar liner to be instantly comfortable and re-engineered the placement of the triple-stitching to reduce wear and tear over time. Using our universal 610 last, the US-made Quarry has the same fit and feel as its predecessor.

How it Fits

The 610 is our most universal last and can be worn by all foot shapes and sizes. It provides a snug fit through the heel while allowing ample toe room for most versatile fit. This allows more support and side-to-side movement.

Bought the Quarry USA as a replacement for another pair of Danners I've had for about 6 years. I have a titanium ankle and most boots cause a lot of pain so they have to be comfortable and NO other boot has lasted as long or remained as comfortable as that first pair of Danners so naturally when it came time to replace, I went straight to Danner. The Quarries were comfortable straight out of the box like the injury to my ankle had never occurred and the quality, While I expected it to be good, was far better than I thought. I am blown away by the attention to detail in these boots. They are true to size. Using the measuring device you find at every shoe store, find your size. that's it. For me it was a PERFECT fit. Nice Job Danner! Really appreciate everyone at Danner and the job they do. I can't wait to order a new pair of hikers for weekends.

My husband has religiously worn Danner Quarry's for many years. These are the most comfortable boots he has ever worn (according to him). He is hard on his boots, always has been. The last pair we received was an exchange back in October of 2014. The pair we had exchanged had fallen apart (literally). We figured after all these quality boots we must have just received a fluke pair. Fast forward to April, 2015. My spouse has only been wearing these boots for 2 months (due to not working over the winter months). He came home last night after being out working on the road for the last week. Rocks, silt, dirt had got into the side liner of the boot and he had bloody abrasions all over his foot due to this. When you work 18 hour days in a very rural setting there is no time to run and get new boots. He had to take his leathermen and cut the inside liner out of one of the pair of boots just so he could get the rocks & silt out of the boot. I'm not one to complain, but after years of purchasing these boots (and happily replacing them due to his wear and tear) i find it crazy that he is still in the same profession, doing the same work, has the same size feet and suddenly the boots have gone to junk. That's two pairs now. I'm starting to think its not a fluke. Something changed with these boots and I beg Danner to go back to the way they were doing things before.

My second pair of Quarry's, the first pair finally gave out after 8 years of extreme abuse. I'm in the water works industry, boots get torn up quick with the jobs I encounter. These new ones seem to be of even higher quality, especially the hardware. I'm a Danner customer for life because they have earned my business by producing quality boots. You pay for them, they aren't cheap, but I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". Who knows how many pair of boots (and the cost!) I would have bought in the last 8 years if I didn't wear Danner.

I have had several pairs of dinner boots and seem to have the same problem with them. They don't last more than a year. Given I am hard on boots and put a lot of miles on them but I would expect them to last more than a year as I have had other brand last much longer. With these particular boots I started having sole separation and stitching problems within 6 or 8 months. These boots may be good for people that don't put many miles on or office types put not workers that are on their feet a lot. The comfort of the boots is great but I need more than that from a boot.

3 out of 5 pairs leak.

        By Dan

        from Paris Pennsylvania

These boots are very comfortable once broke in. I have had at least 15 pair of quarry boots. If you buy them make sure they don't leak right away because Danner will only stand behind them for 6 months. The biggest inconvenience is not having the boots during shipping (usually about 3 weeks for me). The soles become very hard and slippery in cold weather. They sound like tap shoes on concrete in cold weather.
