Vicious 8" Brown NMT

$180.00
|  Style 13868

By incorporating top of the line materials like GORE-TEX and Vibram with a weight-saving platform, we made our tough, versatile work boot feel like the kind of boot you want to put on at the end of a long day.

We borrowed the lightweight, agile Trailguard platform from our hiking boots to engineer this work boot to be nimble and tough from the ground up. This new last is designed to cup your heel for a secure fit while offering a little more room in the toe box to accommodate feet that are carrying heavy loads. It also comes with a dual density EVA midsole for extra shock absorption and comfort. The oil and slip resistant outsole have a low profile 90 degree heel making it versatile enough for indoor and outdoor work. For really tough jobs it has an abrasion-resistant heel cap, an all-leather upper, a non-metallic safety toe and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® liner.

  • 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® liner is engineered to keep your feet dry and comfortable - even in extreme conditions
  • Rich, full-grain leather offers comfortable moisture protection and long term endurance for all job site conditions
  • Danner Trailguard platform provides lightweight, seamless support to provide a roomier fit in the toe box while still offering a snug fit in the heel.
  • Abrasion-resistant heel cap for durability
  • Speed lace system for a secure, tight fit
  • Vibram® Vicious outsole is oil and slip resistant and has a low-profile 90 degree heel
  • Nylon shank
  • 8" height
  • 59 oz
  • The non-metallic safety toe won’t conduct heat or cold to the foot, and meets or exceeds ASTM standard F2413-11 I/75 C/75 EH. Electrical hazard (EH) footwear is manufactured with non-conductive electrical shock resistant soles and heels.
  • Imported

DLE-01 Last
The DLE-01 last was designed to be an extension of the foot with superior forefoot and heel capture, stability and a more anatomical shape for comfort. The additional space in the toebox allows the foot to naturally react when bearing a heavy load or changing directions laterally in high intensity environments.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

I use my boots for road construction and on them 10+ Hrs a day. They are very comfortable and no foot fatigue. The safety toe has enough room for men with big feet. The only bad thing is that they need a thicker sole, but do love the boot.

              Best Uses

This boot is good, but could use a bigger toe room like the Timberland Pro Titan. Overall for the quality of the boot is fair.

I put the 8 inch vicious composite toe boot on and thought it was comfortable. However the right side comp toe plate was digging into the top of my foot. I called and talked to a Danner service rep who was helpful. To return a pair of boots they have to be in perfect condition but they do pay for the shipping. Which is nice but you're looking at some time before you get your money back. After you order them online you have to wait for them to show up, then if you don't like them, make arrangements to send them back, wait till they travel back to Danner, give them 2 days to review them, then "if" the review goes well they start to return your money which could take another 4 or so days. Total tally of time 2-3 weeks. I'm very disappointed but it gets even worse. I decided to buy two pairs of the 4 inch vicious judging by how they 8 inch were comfortable and the 4 inch were on sale. Well I bumped up the size by one half to fix the comp toe digging in problem. The 4 inch are beyond uncomfortable and they squeak as I walk. It's gonna be up to Danners review of my boots if I get my money back for the used squeaky, uncomfortable shoes I have. As It sits, I won't be waring Danner boots ever and this whole thing has tied up over 300 dollars of my money for weeks now. Looking back, I would never do this again.
