Foothill Hunting Boots

The Foothill hunting boots are perfect for the hunter on the move. Made in the USA, the Foothill features GORE-TEX® lining for the ultimate in breathable, waterproof protection. A Vibram® Sierra 1276 self-cleaning outsole prevents dirt and mud build-up. A full-grain leather and 1000 Denier nylon upper combine with Danner’s stitchdown construction to give rugged durability and support over all types of terrain.

100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® liner is engineered to keep your feet dry, comfortable and never sweaty even in extreme conditions. The microporous structure of the GORE-TEX® makes the boot completely waterproof. Each microscopic pore is 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, which means no external moisture or water can penetrate the membrane. The pores are also 700 times bigger than a water vapor molecule, so perspiration can easily evaporate through and you can stay dry from the inside out.

Integral to the Danner technology family, stitchdown construction provides a wider platform for increased stability. Danner stitchdown boots can be re-soled, adding years of life. First the upper is shaped to conform to the last, then flared out and cemented to the midsole. Then the upper and midsole are stitched together with heavy, interlocking thread to create an even more secure attachment. Finally, the outsole is cemented to the midsole/upper unit. 650 Last
Many of our made in the USA boots are built on the 650 last. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

• Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
• Consider the type of socks you\'ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
• When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they\'re the right fit.
