The Santiam 400 gram hunting boots are specifically designed for optimal comfort in cold, wet weather. Made in the USA, the Santiam offers features such as GORE-TEX® lining, which provides the ultimate in breathable, waterproof protection. 400 grams of Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation defends the wearer from cold conditions. A full-grain leather upper combined with Danner’s stitchdown construction provide durability and longevity. The famous Danner Bob® outsole, ranked among the world’s best hunting outsoles, tracks steadily in the snow and mud while it continuously self-cleans.

	100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® liner is engineered to keep your feet dry, comfortable and never sweaty even in extreme conditions. The microporous structure of the GORE-TEX® makes the boot completely waterproof. Each microscopic pore is 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, which means no external moisture or water can penetrate the membrane. The pores are also 700 times bigger than a water vapor molecule, so perspiration can easily evaporate through and you can stay dry from the inside out.
	For years, many outdoor enthusiasts have selected Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation because of its performance characteristics. Extremely thin and very lightweight, Thinsulate&trade Ultra insulation maintains most of its insulating characteristics when wet. The insulation is made up of thousands of tiny microfibers that trap miniscule pockets of insulating air space, providing cold weather protection.
	Integral to the Danner technology family, stitchdown construction provides a wider platform for increased stability. Danner stitchdown boots can be re-soled, adding years of life. First the upper is shaped to conform to the last, then flared out and cemented to the midsole. Then the upper and midsole are stitched together with heavy, interlocking thread to create an even more secure attachment. Finally, the outsole is cemented to the midsole/upper unit. No one makes better stitchdown boots than Danner.

610 Last
Many of our made in the USA boots are built on the 610 last. This is our most universal last and can be worn by all foot shapes and sizes. The 610 last offers more support and side-to-side movement with our stitchdown construction. We use the 610 last on many of our Portland-made hunting boots for the comfort and universal fit.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

• Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
• Consider the type of socks you\'ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
• When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they\'re the right fit.
