650 Last
The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Sierra Mens/Womens 200G Hunting Boots:

The first pair of Danner boots I go were my dad's used Grouse boots, which as the uninsulated version of these, when my feet stopped growing. When they died, my dad got a new pair of Sierra's for himself, but liked the fit of the Sierra's he already had, so he gave me the new pair. Easily the best boots ever. They had no break-in period at all. They were ready to go within a few minutes of wearing them. I use them at work, on rainy days out on the town, hunting, hiking, wherever. They are a little heavy, but nothing extreme. The waterproof feature saved my dry socks quite a few times, and that insulation adds a lot. I've had them for probably 6 years now, and they're still going strong.

Comments about Danner Sierra Mens/Womens 200G Hunting Boots:

First of all I must say that I love Danner boots. They are built well and last a long, long time. They are an excellent investment. I have a pair of Acadias that are 10 years old and I just had them resoled last year.
Now for the complaint on the Sierras. I ordered these boots since they are the same design as the Acadia. Overall great boots, but the soles on these boots are worthless in temps. below 32 degrees. Danner advertises the Vibram 1276 Sierra outsole "for maximum traction and stability over various terrains, INCLUDING COLD AND WET CONDITIONS". The soles are extremely hard in the cold. You are able to slide on packed snow just as if you were standing on ice. They are actually too dangerous to wear in the winter time, especially on icy surfaces. Climbing over cold logs is also very slippery. I have a pair of Rocky's with this same Vibram sole and have the exact same problem. I took a chance and ordered the Sierra's with Danner's prior assurance that the Sierra sole and the Kletterlift sole were made of the same rubber compound. I believe this to be false. My Acadia's, with the 1748 Kletterlift outsole, provide excellent traction in the cold. When returning into the garage from the cold the Sierra soles are very hard and slippery, like tap shoes. The Kletterlifts are softer and still retain their traction.
Danner did remedy the problem by giving me a discount on a second pair of Acadias that I just ordered. Now I will bring my Sierras into the local shoe shop and get them resoled. I would recommend this style of boots to anyone, but would chose a model with the 1748 Kletterlift sole for cold temperatures.

These boots are put to the test each time I enter the woods and time and time again they hold up. Never have I owned a pair of boots that have the durability of my Sierras.

Comments about Danner Sierra Mens/Womens 200G Hunting Boots:

I'm on my second pair of these boots. I get about ten years out of each pair. They are the most comfortable hunting boot I've ever tried. They are warm down to about 20 degrees, provide me with excellent support and traction. I elk hunt in them about 30 days per year in addition to shoulder season hiking. The lace to toe provide an excellent nearly custom fit. I highly recommend these.

Comments about Danner Sierra Mens/Womens 200G Hunting Boots:

I purchased these boots in Feb 2005 at a local boot and shoe store (College Shoe Shop) in Fayetteville, ARK. This was my first pair of Danner boots and I will never go to another brand. I have had them resoled twice and just this week sent them to Danner to be re-crafted. They are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.
I use them to hunt here in Arkansas and this past December during the Christmas Hunt, the temp was 7 degrees. I wore these with a thick pair of wool blend socks and my feet stayed warm for about two hours. After that they began to get a little cold.
I wear these boots on a regular basis and even in the hot summer months. They breathe great.
They keep your feet dry. I have hiked in all weather and even walking through several inches of water and creeks, my feet stayed dry. I keep them fairly clean and every couple of months I polish them boot polish and it has only helped the leather last as long as they have. It's a must you keep them polished after heavy use. But then again it only takes about 15 mins and your done.
Danner, thank you for a great boot and I only wish all your boots were made in the USA as these are.
