Pronghorn 8" Brown

$190.00
|  Style 45003

We learned from our elders. We listened to our peers. And we crafted the fourth generation Pronghorn - a boot that we are confident will continue the tradition we know and love.

With a nod to our past, we rebuilt a legend. Bringing back our popular CamoHide™ leather and building on our proven TERRA FORCE® technology, we updated the design for a more streamlined and lightweight profile. The all-leather toe and heel cap protect against wear. We chose a new last and opened the toe box to create a wider platform and better fit. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® liner keeps feet dry throughout the hunt. We added an Ortholite® footbed with triple layer cushioning for improved comfort. A new outsole retains all the performance of previous generations with a combination of rubber compounds that perform in slick mud and rugged underbrush. No matter where your hunt takes you, this is the boot you can count on to perform.

  • Durable, waterproof full-grain CamoHide™ leather upper with rugged and lightweight 1000 Denier nylon
  • Full-grain leather toe and heel cap
  • Rugged hardware for secure fit and long lasting performance
  • 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® lining
  • Cushioning three density open cell polyurethane Ortholite® footbed
  • Lightweight and stable performance of Danner’s TERRA FORCE® platform

DPH1-H Last
This athletic fitting last offers great heel capture and an anatomical forefoot that gives more room in the toe box. Fits true to size.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

"I live and work in my boots"

By Mikey the Forester

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Exceptional Traction
  • Great Value
  • Rugged

Cons

    Best Uses

I am a forester by trade and literally live and work in my boots. I wear them all day long at work and evenings and weekends, hunting, hiking and doing my outdoor chores. I normally wear them 12 to 14 hours a day; often six days a week. I wear your uninsulated boots in the summer and the insulated boots in the winter. They are comfortable from break-in to the grave and keep my feet warm and dry. They are rugged and hold up to the toughest terrain day in and day out. I have found their traction to be exceptional in rocky terrain. I wear my boots more in a year than most folks due in a lifetime of hunting. For my money there are no better boots than your Pronghorn Series Boots! Thank you for an exceptional product line!

I recently got these boots for my birthday. i just finished a 6 day, elk archery hunting, backpacking trip in the mountains of Colorado and I wore these boots the whole time.

We probably covered over 35 miles and it rained on us. We also packed a bull elk out twice to the jeep with a hike of 3 miles one way. These boots stood up to the abuse and I mean serious abuse I threw at them for 6 days. My feet stayed dry and comfortable and I did not get a single blister.

These boots coupled with quality wool socks and it just doesn't get any better than that!

Ive had major problems with my right ankle over the years, searched for ankle support and found it in the pronghorns. These boots really cup and lock your heel and ankle into place. I suggest them to everyone for there comfort and durability. Currently own 2 pairs, (my old ones take the abuse). Do not buy them for swamp boots as they are not that waterproof, cant have everything. I wear them all day when im not in the papermill. Just wish they made these with a composite toe.

I love these boots. About seven years ago I bought my first pair of these boots to go hunting in and over the next few years they did wonderfully. Mud, water, the Colorado mountains and almost every other terrain you could think of didn't stop me. Never once did I have leak or did they start to break down on me. After about two years I stated to wear them every day and they to over the tennis shoes that I was replacing every few months. Only problem was that they got warm, but that's what happens when there's 500 grams of insulation. For a few years I toughed it out and keep wearing. But the time came for a new post of boots as these ones were staying to wear out now that I wore then everyday for the past 3 years. I was going to get another in insulated pair of these to wear but was convinced to buy from another company. "They'll last forever," everybody said. 4 months down the line the sole was falling off. So, I do the only logical thing to do and buy from the only company I trust to make boots and bought another pair of these. I've now had them for 2 years and not once have I had trouble. Danner makes amazing boots that are comfortable, last nearly forever will eat anything you can throw at them. I'll definitely be buying from Danner again.
