We learned from our elders. We listened to our peers. And we crafted the fourth generation Pronghorn - a boot that we are confident will continue the tradition we know and love.
With a nod to our past, we rebuilt a legend. Bringing back our popular CamoHide™ leather and building on our proven TERRA FORCE® technology, we updated the design for a more streamlined and lightweight profile. The all-leather toe and heel cap protect against wear. We chose a new last and opened the toe box to create a wider platform and better fit. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® liner keeps feet dry throughout the hunt. We added an Ortholite® footbed with triple layer cushioning for improved comfort. A new outsole retains all the performance of previous generations with a combination of rubber compounds that perform in slick mud and rugged underbrush. No matter where your hunt takes you, this is the boot you can count on to perform.
This athletic fit of our DPH-1 last offers great heel capture and an anatomical forefoot that gives more room in the toe box. Fits true to size.

I love these boots. About seven years ago I bought my first pair of these boots to go hunting in and over the next few years they did wonderfully. Mud, water, the Colorado mountains and almost every other terrain you could think of didn't stop me. Never once did I have leak or did they start to break down on me. After about two years I stated to wear them every day and they to over the tennis shoes that I was replacing every few months. Only problem was that they got warm, but that's what happens when there's 500 grams of insulation. For a few years I toughed it out and keep wearing. But the time came for a new post of boots as these ones were staying to wear out now that I wore then everyday for the past 3 years. I was going to get another in insulated pair of these to wear but was convinced to buy from another company. "They'll last forever," everybody said. 4 months down the line the sole was falling off. So, I do the only logical thing to do and buy from the only company I trust to make boots and bought another pair of these. I've now had them for 2 years and not once have I had trouble. Danner makes amazing boots that are comfortable, last nearly forever will eat anything you can throw at them. I'll definitely be buying from Danner again.

Good boots, not great. Hunted elk in these, souls are not stiff, to much flex, hence breaking down Gore-Tex really fast. Slow to dry when wet, no rubber rand to help keep moisture out. Feet got wet every morning in damp grass after hiking through alpine meadows. For beginner or low exertion mountain hunter, these would be great. For run and gun technical mountain hunting, spend twice the money and you will be happier.....

I have used dinner boots for several years, however The danner pronghorn I purchased this spring all ready are leaking, during the break in period. Very disapointing given the fact I am on Social Security and don't have the money to throw away on leaky boots. What happen to Danner Boots ? It use to mean quality, obviously not any more, didnt't want to give even one star.
I bought a pair and within 9 months they leaked. They warrantied them and sent me a new pair. They said that was very rare and it was a manufacturing defect. The new pair leaked at 10.5 months. Danner said too bad. So my experience is 2 pairs both leaked, so 100% failure rate. The customer service rep said that they aren't meant to be worn that much. They would last longer than a year if I wore them less. He's probably right, if I left them in my closet and didn't wear them they probably wouldn't leak. So if you are looking for a good closet display, they are good! If you are actually looking for a boot to wear, don't waste your money, your feet will be wet with these.
I am a forester by trade and literally live and work in my boots. I wear them all day long at work and evenings and weekends, hunting, hiking and doing my outdoor chores. I normally wear them 12 to 14 hours a day; often six days a week. I wear your uninsulated boots in the summer and the insulated boots in the winter. They are comfortable from break-in to the grave and keep my feet warm and dry. They are rugged and hold up to the toughest terrain day in and day out. I have found their traction to be exceptional in rocky terrain. I wear my boots more in a year than most folks due in a lifetime of hunting. For my money there are no better boots than your Pronghorn Series Boots! Thank you for an exceptional product line!
After listening to my buddies rant and rave about Danner boots I decided to give them a try before my 4 day Wyoming hunt. I literally got them days before leaving on my hunt and had no time to break them in. I was a little worried that I may have trouble, but I decided to pack them up and hope for the best. Well, my first day in Wyoming I logged about 9.7 miles in them with ALL DAY RAIN...Literally. Through the long grass, scrub-brush, streams, etc they kept my feet dry for nearly 12 hours. Granted, the Gore-Tex has not had time to break down but for this trip they worked flawlessly. At the end of the day my feet were tired but not sore or wet. So far I am sold on Danner quality. A year from now we will truly be able to tell how well they are constructed and if they can stand the test of time.
These boots are great. I just sent mine back due to a leakage issue but they sent me new ones. Good boots but warm.
