We learned from our elders. We listened to our peers. And we crafted the fourth generation Pronghorn - a boot that we are confident will continue the tradition we know and love.
With a nod to our past, we rebuilt a legend. Bringing back our popular CamoHide™ leather and building on our proven TERRA FORCE® technology, we updated the design for a more streamlined and lightweight profile. The all-leather toe and heel cap protect against wear. We opened the toe box to create a wider platform and better fit. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® liner keeps feet dry throughout the hunt. We added an Ortholite® footbed with triple layer cushioning for improved comfort. A new outsole retains all the performance of previous generations with a combination of rubber compounds that perform in slick mud and rugged underbrush. No matter where your hunt takes you, this is the boot you can count on to perform.
This athletic fit of our DPH-1 last offers great heel capture and an anatomical forefoot that gives more room in the toe box. Fits true to size.

I had to wait quite awhile to order these boots because they were back ordered because of production for military orders. I am in the military but couldn't get them; didn't make sense. I waited for this design because it had everything I wanted loop to pull them on, straight sole to boot transition, reasonable price, lightweight but sturdy.
Laces: previous version of this boot, TFX, for me had issues with the laces, I would go through a pair every two months because they would wear through the sharp edges in the eyelets where the boot flexes. This boot has a different lacing pattern; the eyelets for this area are set back further from the edge of the boot leather. This design helps with the lace fraying problem, but it is more difficult to tighten the laces because the tension does not get pulled through these set back eyelets. Not a deal stopper for me, but something I had to learn when starting to wear these boots. The inner liner got bunched up in the back one time when I tried to shove the boots on without loosening the laces. Otherwise these boots seem to be well made, look good, and I like them. I mention the laces thing because I end up taking my boots off a couple of times a day, and being able to quickly tie them up is helpful, but I am glad the lace eating eyelets problem was fixed.
