Hard to beat for the price. All of the qualities of American-made Danners at an exceptional price. I've beat mine up on high-country trails, muddy bottoms and rocky outcroppings. Comfortable out of the box, lighter than expected, better water-resistance than expected. These boots will get you there and back, and you can redraft them when you wear out the soles.

If you've been back and forth about what size you should get , just go with what size you where most of your other boots in. If you have 3 pairs of boots that are 9.5 and one pair that are 10 , go with the size 9.5. Plus the size tool that danner uses is really what size you are going to want to get...
Now on to the boots themselves.

The Danner East Ridge boots really are the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a great boot for outside, hunting, shooting, and what have you. But if you need a good boot for the work inviormet they do just fine on concrete. I have had my pair lilttle over 2 months now and I fall more and more in love with them each day I wear them. I would say the break in period takes about a week to 2 weeks tops. I also got to take them out in the woods for some squirrel huntig in below freezing weather and my feet stayed warm.

Bottom line I would say is they're a great boot for the money, danner makes the best boots I have ever owned.

Totally worth the money , I have owned/worn more expensive boots in the past that havn't been as comfortable as these boots . They offer great traction in the woods , at the range , and at the mall . This light weight boot is way ahead of others in comfort and durability , and if I ever do wear them out " they are rebuildable " which dollar for dollar makes them even more cost effective . Great job Danner !!

    Very Comfortable Boots

    By Steamrunner

    Pros

    • Soft footbed
    • Waterproof

    Cons

    • No Safety Toe Version

    Best Uses

A bit rigid but did not take long to break them in. The cushioning polyurethane footbed is what I like the best about these boots. My feet becomes painful when walking/standing on hard, flat surfaces. The footbed eases the pain considerably. I wear these boots daily except to work.

      Serious equipment

      By Scott

      from SC

      Pros

      • Quality

      Cons

      • Little Sole Flex

      Best Uses

      • Mixed terrain
      • Warm to cool weather

This boot is built like a tank. Thick outsole is stiff. I recommend working mink oil into the leather parts soon after purchase to increase flexibility and facilitate break in and fitting to your foot shape. I compared many boots on the market and found these to be the best: US made, recraftable, gore tex, leather toe, good support, and not "spongy sneaker feel.". If you plan to wear heavy socks in cold weather you probably need to go up a half size due to their tailored fit in the toe area.
