Overview

Protect your investment with the 3-step Danner Boot Care System. This product is step 2: Waterproofing Gel.

  1. 1. Danner Cleaning Gel cleans without residues that can spoil waterproofing. And it is the right PH to prolong the life of leather.
  2. 2. Danner Waterproofing Gel is breathable, which means it blocks water from the outside while letting moisture escape from the inside. This is nice for all boots but is especially important for Gore-Tex styles.
  3. 3. Danner Leather Conditioner softens, revives, and waterproofs full-grain leather* and fabric materials such as Cordura® and nylon.
*For use on full-grain leather only. For nubuck, suede or rough-out leather, use our Waterproofing Spray before each use to prolong the life of the leather.

Pros

  • A little goes a long way

  • Makes boots extra shiny

Comments about Danner Leather and Fabric Waterproofing Gel:

      Really great stuff!
I like to apply the gel once or twice a month, simply because of what I put my boots through. It really keeps water, snow, and ice off of my boots.
A great side effect of the gel is that it really shines up my boots.
How I apply the gel: at first I just used the bottle to drop it on, but that can get a little messy. Now I use a 10CC oral syringe to accurately apply the gel to where I need it.
I do not just put it anywhere:
First, I fill the syringe with about 4 CCs (per boot) of the gel.
Then, I apply a liberal amount on the stitching of my soles and let it soak in.
Third, I take a paper-towel and use the excess gel from the stitching, and wipe the gel onto the rest of the boots.
I'm sure everyone has their own system of application but I find this suits me best.
I've used the gel about four times so far and it really works.
      Thanks Danner.

Comments about Danner Leather and Fabric Waterproofing Gel:

Used on Danner Gortex leather boots. Easy to apply, long lasting. No saturated leather, even when it looks like the color is wearing through. Is pricy but worth it

Comments about Danner Leather and Fabric Waterproofing Gel:

I purchased the waterproofing gel along with some new Danner boots. The gel was placed into the box containing the boots without any seal to hold the cap on, and sure enough when my boots arrived the gel cap had fallen off and the gel was all over the inside of the box.

Thankfully, there was about 1/3 of the gel left inside the bottle and that was more than enough to prepare my boots for use. The gel works great. It added a lot of character to my boots and has done a great job of protecting them with all of the snow and rain I have worn them through.

Hopefully Danner will improve their shipping practices. I am supposed to receive a free bottle in the mail, but it has been 25 days since I contacted customer support and I still have yet to receive it.
