Nubuc and Suede Waterproofing Spray
Nubuc, suede and rough-out leathers no longer have their own naturally-occuring protective barrier. It's important to waterproof them regularly because these types of leather are more susceptible to damage without proper care. Our Nubuc and Suede Waterproofing Spray won't cause them to darken in color, and is breathable, which means it blocks water from the outside while letting moisture escape from the inside. This is nice for all boots but is especially important for Gore-Tex styles.
Safe on fabrics like Cordura® and Nylon.
We do not recommend Danner's boot care cleaner, conditioner, or boot dressing on nubuc, suede or rough-out leathers as it will darken the color.

Let me first say, I am back here to buy more, so I thought I'd leave a review...
While I only have experience with this waterproofing solution on my Danner NUBUC hunting boots, it has not changed the color of my boots AT ALL.
I suspect that my feet having stayed dry, even slogging around for 14 hrs in standing water and mud, has something to do with the construction of the boots (gore-tex, perhaps), but I do believe that this product is part of the moisture seal. Also (and I think this is very important), it did not seal the boots as oils do, creating a situation where your feet can not breath and start to sweat, i.e.- wet from the inside plus temp. drop, equals cold feet. This stuff also allows for very easy clean-up of the boots.
Like I said, I'm back for more...

after spray it, why the leather color became darker? Is it normal?
