In the 1960s and 70s, backpacking captivated a generation. True trail junkies logged thousands of miles forging trails, summiting peaks and dancing through wildflowers. To honor the beauty of this generation, we introduce this street-ready version of our iconic Mt. Light II, featuring a more modern Vibram® Cristy outsole which wont track mud or dirt, in case your urban hike takes you further than the corner street pub.
The Mt. Light Overton is a street-ready inspiration of the original Mt. Light, one of the most iconic backpacking boots of our time. Maintaining our high standards, we crafted this iteration with an olive toned single vamp leather, our classic Mt. Light silhouette and the strength and durability of our elite Danner stitchdown construction. Offering up a modern twist on this classic boot, we stitched in a Vibram® Cristy outsole which wont track mud or dirt, helping you keep that shag carpet presentable.
Danner's 650 EE last offers a roomier fit for relaxed comfort while still offering rugged support and stability. This EE is not as wide as others so it offers the most universal fit for casual, everyday wear. We recommend sizing down a half size for the best fit.

Comments about Danner Mountain Light Overton:
My first pair of Danner. It requires no break at all.
It resembles the traditional Danner quality of Mountain Light II and combined with the trendy rough out leather with the Vibram white sole.
It has been on my feet the day I received it and nothing else.
Comments about Danner Mountain Light Overton:
I purchased a pair of light overton's before a deployment overseas this summer. After logging 6-7 miles a day in them for six months my boots are holding up very well. As importantly, even with all that beating, they're still sharp enough to wear out in town.

Why did I not own these things sooner? I did not know a boot could be made of this quality. I will never own another boot these boots absolutely rock! I love the retro look.

Comments about Danner Mountain Light Overton:
I could not pass this boot up. It is so comfortable with a soft supple suede upper and a soft sole. I work with learther and the quality of this suede is top notch. I love this boot. As for the fit it does seem to run a half size bigger in length then the other Danner boots as the fit chart says it does. The width in EE is good for the average mid width foot. If you have a narrow foot you should call and have one made in a narrow size. This boot right out of the box feels like a nice tennis shoe. I normally have to slowely break in new boots but not this pair. I would highly recommend this boot to anyone who likes the look of it, and I have recommended it to a friend. I own 6 pair of Danner boots and will not stop with this pair. I have to say thanks to Danners cutomer service. I had an issue with an order I placed and they took good care of me. Thanks Danner.
