Details

360° of snake proof protection

Inspired by a classic stalking design, we built our all-new Danner Comfort System (DCS) technology to bring the foot lower to the ground and deliver best-in-class durability, support and comfort in the new Steadfast. The upper combines durable nubuck leather and 900 denier nylon for lightweight support. The waterproof Danner Dry liner pulls moisture away from the foot for greater comfort, while a roomier toe box delivers an athletic, responsive fit. The patent-pending, dual-density footbed provides unmatched cushioned comfort, combining underfoot venting for maximum airflow and an Airthotic heel clip for support. Add to it the solid traction of the Steadfast outsole and you can count on season after season of soft landings.

Nubuck Leather & Nylon Upper
For superior abrasion- and scuff-resistance, we use full grain nubuck leather combined with lightweight, breathable nylon. This combination offers some of the best protection in cold and wet environments.
Danner Dry
100% waterproof barrier allows moisture to escape without letting water in, keeping your feet dry and comfortable all day long.
Realtree® Xtra® Green Camo
Realtree Xtra Green pattern is designed to blend with habitats in all variations of green, especially those found in early fall and mid-to-late spring.
360° Snake Guard
We use a flexible snake protection fabric in between the liner and exterior of the boot to give you complete snake protection from the bottom of your foot to the top of the boot.
Plush Dual Density Footbed with Airthotic® Heel Clip
This patent-pending, plush, dual-density footbed provides superior cushioning, underfoot venting for maximum airflow and Airthotic® heel clip for support.
Danner Steadfast Outsole
Solid traction over rugged terrain.
Extended Sizes
To accommodate more people, we've made this boot in extended sizes. We recommend women select 1.5 to 2 full sizes down for correct fit.
Danner Comfort System
Combining the benefits of a lightweight cup sole with a patent-pending, dual density footbed, this construction method focuses on everyday comfort.
How It Fits
Designed for optimal comfort, the DCP last was built around our patent-pending, ultra-plush footbed. It runs true-to-size with a broader toe box for a more athletic and responsive fit.

The WORST snake boot I've ever owned!!!

By Kyle

from Central Florida

Comments about Steadfast Snake Boot 17" Realtree Xtra Green:

I have had about 7 different pairs of snake books and these are by far the WORST pair I've ever laced up. I strictly wear lace up snake boots turkey hunting, I walk a lot (easily 50+ miles a season) and prefer the extra support. I loved my old Danner Pronghorn's with the snake on them but those for were discontinued for some reason and now the new ones are priced for millionaire hunters not the blue collar hunters :( So, I liked the athletic look and weight of these figured I'd give them a try, worst decision ever! I know boots take a break in period so I wore these around the house and on a early season dove hunt and they killed my ankles, but I just figured it was part of the break in process. Then turkey season hits and these boots deliver again in the uncomfortable department, blisters on both heels and little toes; maybe they are still breaking in!? The next day same discomfort; uncomfortable riding in the truck, uncomfortable walking, uncomfortable sitting under a tree!!! Also, these boots will leak water walking through a damp field! Walk through a puddle forget it! Walk through ankle deep water and its over with! These boots took the fun out of turkey season :( For a name like Danner and the price you pay for Danner I am HIGH DISAPPOINTED!

Comments about Steadfast Snake Boot 17" Realtree Xtra Green:

I bought these boots in the spring for turkey hunting. At first I thought they were by far the best boot I've ever owned. That soon changed. Within a few weeks they started to leak. By the end of the season the waterproofing was nonexistent. My feet would get wet within 200 yards of the truck while walking through a pasture with morning dew on the ground. If you hunt muddy terrain do not buy these boots. You'll be on your hands and knees trying to go up a steep incline. The only good thing I have to say about these boots is that they are the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. Which I expected from danner. They are much more comfortable than the pronghorn or jackals. And much lighter than the pronghorn.

Comments about Steadfast Snake Boot 17" Realtree Xtra Green:

THESE ARE BY FAR AND AWAY THE WORST SNAKE BOOTS I'VE EVER PURCHASED! WAYYYYY OVER PRICED!! AND IN MY OPINION THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT HUNTING BOOTS IS COMFORT AND WATERPROOFING; THESE DO NEITHER! THEY REALLY ARE BAD. AS ANOTHER REVIEWER WROTE, THEY ARE JUST UNCOMFORTABLE AND KILL YOUR FEET AND HEELS. AND THE WORST PART IS, DANNER OFFERS NO RESPONSE OR OFFER TO KEEP A PURCHASER LOYAL OR FEELING LIKE THE COMPANY CARES. JUST SLAP AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE ON SOMETHING AND NONE OF THE ATTRIBUTES OF THE BOOT BACK UP DANNER'S CLAIMS FOR THESE BOOTS.

      SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Comments about Steadfast Snake Boot 17" Realtree Xtra Green:

Ok, I'm not a hunter in the traditional sense, yet I do 'hunt' dragonflies and damselflies. So, I'm around creeks and various water sources. Dragonflies have excellent eyesight with 30,000 lens, so I made a dress out of camo and I am able to net more than if I wore 'regular clothes.' I wanted snake-proof boots to protect my feet because NC has Copperheads in every county! I do watch where I walk as damselflies are usually in the grasses and reeds around water.

Comfortable? YES and VERY Lightweight! I don't wear these for more than several hours at a time, yet when I read hunters gave good reviews on these boots and I'm sure they wear them a lot more at a time than I do, I thought I'd give them a try!

I thought lacing them would be a hassle, yet they truly lace up quickly and as tight as I prefer. I previously twisted my ankle and had a serious high-ankle sprain which took a long time to heal. I should have purchased these boots sooner as I won't be twisting any ankles now! They work better than my ankle supports do, plus they look much cooler! I'm still adjusting to walking the few steep hillsides in these boots.

My 'only' suggestion would be to provide a women's boot size equivalent. I looked at several charts and took a good guess, as a size 6 in Men's fits my 8.5 women's size feet with plenty of toe room. I wear a thick sock and over that a longer 'boot' sock.

Thankfully I haven't fallen in the water... yet. I would assume they are waterproof up to the end of the gusset in the 'tongue'. That's high enough for me, as I don't feel a great need to run into the water after a dragonfly to net it. I have had to jump to net several high fliers, even with a 9 foot pole.

I am glad I read the reviews of others, as that was a major part in making my decision to purchase these boots. I'm sure many men are very critical if something isn't to their liking.

These boots fulfill the job I need them to do!
