very good, very durable, 400g thinsulate is not as much as I expected it to be, they are warm though. I hiked 5 miles today through some really rocky terrain and they did not fail to impress me. they have amazing traction and a great cushioned sole. they were super comfortable right out of the box and an amazing all around boot. As soon as I get back to Montana im going to put a couple coats of SNOSEAL on all of the leather, as it keeps it from the normal shrinking and stretching, not that i need it for waterproofing, the gortex does that quite well. the heelcup is just leather but it did produce a hotspot on the backs of my ankles, after a 5 mile hike, and their not broke in yet, so no complaints here!

Perfect for hunting but I wear them around town too they are always on my feet when I need them. I also own the Fort Lewis and these are way more comfortable. I work law enforcement in the Fort Lewis and can't wait to get home and put these on. The tread feels really soft and sticky even on wet grocery store floors which is really saying something. In the bush they feel like a tank crossed with your favourite cushy runners. They are nice and light too.

I have two full hunting seasons in these. first off they are a very comfortable boot. I hunt whitetail from tree stand/ground blind near home, pheasant hunt, and make a couple trips west to hunt mule deer in the badlands in ND and Montana.

this season while in Montana on day 4 of hunting one boot began to leak near a seam. I was a bit disappointed how soon these began to leak. the next day the other boot did as well in the same spot. not good when you have 4 more days of hunting.

I could live with the fact they have little to no ankle support because they are so light and comfortable but the leaking after just 1 1/2 hunting seasons was disappointing. my previous danners I wore for 10 years (first generation pronghorn) before they began to leak and seams were popping out on them.

I'll keep these as yard work, casual hunting/hiking boots because they are perfectly molded to my foot now but I won't being bringing them along on extended hunts.

I received the boots today. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10 depending on the shoe. I ordered a 10, and they fit normally. I have not worn them outside yet, but around the house they were comfortable and got quite warm.
Good looking and sylish for a boot. I am going to like them a lot.
        A couple odd things.
First, the tounge is very stiff and thick. It almost takes 3 hands to stuff it in place while pulling the laces tight. I am hoping that will ease up with wear. A couple pleats or somthing to help it fold naturally would help.
Second, again the tounge, drops down about 1" or so lower on the sides where it is sewn into the boot shaft. I don't see any real reason for this, and it lowers the waterproofness of the boot by that 1" or so. It may not ever be an issue, but I guess the question is why?
Anyway, I am very excited about them, and am looking forward to wearing them outdoors. I am also glad that they are at least sewn in the US. That was a factor in my choice.

The boots have been comfortable from day 1 and the functional leather parts seem very rugged and durable. They feel light on my feet when walking, and sizing feels true. I recommend these boots. One word of caution: The nonleather parts of the boots are not the same color shown in the picture. The color is actually a dark brown, close to that of the leather.
