Approved for optional wear by the USAF.

This boot is built on our most popular last, the 850. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. This comfortable, supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Im a Security Forces member in the USAF and I wear these boots daily. I like them for the price I paid, however would not recommend them a friend. The laces need to be tightened one set of eyelets at a time and the sole is not "non-slip" even walking on wet grass then on a tile floor its like walking on ice. There is no chasing suspects through wet areas. or walking on the garage floor with wet boots.

These boots are great, there's almost no break-in time, they give plenty of support (I've carried 70lb packs + my 230lbs without foot pain), and the TFX outsole has had plenty of grip for me, though I can't speak to its durability.
They fit true to size, I got wides based on another reviewer, and wish I'd purchased regulars instead.
They are a bit heavier than I think they need to be. And the lacing system is slow, I dread taking them on and off, which means I change my socks less than I should in the field.

Bought the boot at the BX 3 months ago, great support on the ice, extremely comfortable. However the laces are terrible and just broke through (showed signs of wear after the first month and I kept moving them around.... no excuse for laces to break (at the very bottom lace) this quick)

the first pair of these boots i owned were the desert style they lasted me three years. ive worn nothing but boots everyday for almost twenty years and no brand has every lasted me more than a solid year. this new pair of air force tfx are even better than the last pair! awsome boots danner keep up the good work!
