Quick Overview

Danner bootmakers build the Corvallis™ by hand. It's the only way to ensure heavy-duty components like the safety toe, leather upper, and GORE-TEX® liner come together in a way that ensures uncompromised quality for the craftsman who wear them.
Details

Inspired by our hikers, proven by our workers.

The Corvallis offers a rare blend of comfort and ruggedness. Designed specifically for workers who spend long hours on their feet, it provides features typically found on much heavier boots (triple-stitched seams and an available non-metallic safety toe, for example). By incorporating advanced materials and weight-saving design, we made the Corvallis feel more like an athletic shoe than work boot.

Full-Grain Leather Upper
To ensure its quality, we put our leather through six different tests before making our selection. Our full-grain leathers are the strongest and most durable form of leather.
GORE-TEX® (GTX)
100% waterproof and breathable, GORE-TEX® liners ensure that no water gets in, while allowing sweat and moisture to get out.
Abrasion Resistant Toe and Heel Cap
A durable, rubber toe and heel cap is added to the high-wear areas of the boot for an extra layer of protection and abrasion resistance.
Electrical Hazard (EH) Protection
Meets or exceeds ASTM F2892-11 EH. Electrical hazard (EH) footwear is manufactured with non-conductive electrical shock resistant soles and heels.
Non-Metallic Toe (NMT)
Our non-metallic toe does not transmit heat or cold. Nor will it set off metal detectors. As expected, it meets or exceeds ASTM F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 EH standards.
oil and slip resistant
Our oil-and-slip resistant outsoles have been certified to meet OSHA safety standards.
90º heel
Added safety for boots used on steep terrain, climbing in and out of equipment, and use with certain tools.
TERRA FORCE X platform
Provides lightweight, durable traction, heel-to-toe energy transfer, side support to enhance maneuverability, and protection from arch overwork and fatigue.
How It Fits
The 851 last is an update to our popular 850 last. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. Offering a specific heel shape that locks the heel in place for better fit and comfort on the back end of the boot, this supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.

Really no complaints, boots are very comfortable! Boots are about a year and half old, some sole wear and some stitching is finally showing some pulling. Shoes laces are TOP Quality and I never replaced them, still look great. Boots stay dry. I naturally have hot feet so I need to stay with a Gortex breathable product. I work with a lot of chemicals such as Amine which kills cheap soles in it's tracks. Bottom line, I've had Keens but the Amine ate the soles for dinner and the boots were just to dang hot. I will order another pair soon.

I have worn Danners for about 14 years now and the quality and comfort are just going downhill. My last pair of boots the Acadia took a year to finally break in. I just got these work boots because they have a safety toe. I am a welder and wore them to work for the first day today and dropped a small piece of 12gauge steel on the toe. Later when I got home I noticed that the "protective carbon fiber" is peeling away!!!! Also the sturdy looking triple stitching was sliced right open. I also noticed that I bumped up against a piece of metal and ripped the cheap thin leather on the side. For the price I paid for these I should be paid to wear them. Never again will I buy another boot from Danner you have lost a customer.

Comments about Corvallis 5" Brown NMT:

I'm a chemical applicator for a Co-op so I'm often in wet environments, as well as climbing up and down machinery. The orange arrows on the bottom of the boot started coming off within a month. At 3 months the strings gave up. At 8 months the seam between the boot and sole came apart on one boot rendering it useless. Fertilizer and water could easily get inside it then. No warranty available since it was for work use and was out of the 180 days. Poor quality for a high priced work boot.

Comments about Corvallis 5" Brown NMT:

I am a female flagger, I'm on my feet 8-13 hours a day. I wanted a boot that was waterproof and warm, but breathable and cool in the summer time without a lot of bulk. I chose these because I have to have ankle support, but its not too high. I have to say I love these boots. I live in Portland, Ore. Its always raining here and never once have my feet got wet. I have over 3000 hours of standing on pavement with these boots and they still feel great. I will buy another pair when they wear out. Definitely!
