Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side Zip Uniform Boots:
I work in the security industry and everyone I know has had great things to say about Danner boots. I chose to spend the extra money because the quality was supposed to be higher. Unfortunately I am now about to send back my second pair of Striker II GTX Sidezips for the same defect. The grommets on the laces are just cheap plastic and both pairs I have had so far have broken because of that. The pair that I am currently sending back have also busted the zipper on the side zip. It came apart like a cheap children's toy. I am not even slightly satisfied with my purchase and will NOT be buying Danners ever again.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side Zip Uniform Boots:
I bought the Original Striker GTX about 3 years ago. The soles wore out, normal, I work long days on me feet. Well once I decided to replace them Danner decided to discontinue the Striker and replace it with this Striker II. The II pinches my ankle, the laces are too short, the stitching on the sole is coming out, the zipper handle is too small and the glued toe is peeling off. All this and I have only worn them for 3 months. Haven't had a problem with the lace eyelets yet but they are cheap looking. In conclusion; all Danner has to do is bring back the original Striker. So Danner PLEASE bring back the original.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side Zip Uniform Boots:
I've worked in EMS for years and have worn a variety of footwear on the job. I decided to spend a bit more and get these boots because I had heard so many good things about Danner, but I must say, I've been pretty disappointed thus far. I've been through two pairs of this particular model now. When the first pair busted in a matter of months, I thought that perhaps it was a fluke. Sadly, the second pair was no different than the first. On the up side, the quality of leather is great - the leather is still in great shape now. Having the Gore Tex lining is wonderful. I don't think I could ever buy another boot without it. However, the main problem I've come across is the cheap plastic zippers. In both cases, the zippers busted out with average usage. In addition, the treads on the outsoles wear out surprisingly quickly. I had also noticed some of the stitching on the inside of the boots coming apart towards the end. If I choose to purchase Danner boots in the future, I doubt it'd be from this product line.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side Zip Uniform Boots:
Overall, the boots are pretty comfortable, but there are a couple things I dont like. My last pair of boots were similar to these ones and the side zipper broke on one of them. On the ones I have now, the eyelets for the laces keep popping out. I thought the first pair might have been a fluke, but I was wrong. [...]
