These socks are by far the best I've ever owned! They wash up like new. I've had them for < 6 months, and back to buy more so I can wear these exclusively. They are expensive but given quality I expect them to last MUCH longer than anything else I've ever owned.

I purchased 7 pairs of Striker Uniform Mid Weight Crew socks in early November. My late December, holes were already showing up. I doubt if any of these will last 6 months. Buy something else.

Whether in the heat or in the cold, these have been my "go to" socks. They wicked the moisture year round, but were not too hot in extreme heat (120F+) and cold at lower temperatures(20F). As a pilot, my ambient temperatures can shift rapidly, these socks have served me well throughout my experience without exception.
My original pairs from my 15 month Baghdad deployment just completed a 12 month Afghanistan deployment (with contracted local laundry services-not always the best) with me and are still good to go.
I originally stumbled across them at a nationwide outdoor outfitter's store and tried them as a much less expensive alternative to my previous "go to" socks (a premium merino wool brand). However, the price advantage of Danner (2 pairs of Danner to one pair of the other premium merino wool sock) has diminished but the quality is the same.
I request a pair or two at every birthday or Christmas and would recommend them to anyone interested in a good pair of socks.
