Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

I am a general contractor; on the job site every day. My boots take alot of abuse. I am very particular about my boots and wear handmade cowboy boots when not on the job.On the job, I am in Danners. I have been wearing Danners since 1982, and have had many pairs. Never wore a pair out yet. This boot is my favorite of all that I have had. Love them!!!

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 6" Plain Toe Work Boots:
I purchased these boots about a week before breaking ground on a new house. Ive had them for about 6 months now through completion of that project and into the winter which is mild here. Ive only oiled them once, they probably deserve it a once a month to keep the leather shiny. Great boots for finish work and carpentry. Id get the steel toe model if i had to do a great deal of framing or heavy equipment work.
Pros
- Comfort
- durability
- Leather
Cons
- Laces
Best Uses
- Heavy construction
Comments about Danner Workman GTX 6" Plain Toe Work Boots:
I bought my first pair of these 4 1/2 years ago. They have taken an incredible beating and just now need reworking. The leather is starting to separate from the sole and the inside has ripped. Not bad considering I've worked many months of 80+ hour work weeks and walked approximately 10-15 miles a day in these. I have even spilled hydraulic oil, cutting oil, chemicals, you name it on them. They've been through water, snow, and mud up to my ankles. When I tell others at work how long I've had them, they are always surprised since their "cheaper" boots only last maybe a year. These boots have more than paid for themselves. My only complaint is the laces. I've replaced them five times so far, but maybe that's from the welding and torch cutting. :)
