Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Great "Work Boots"

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 400G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Work Boots:

Okay,
I have worn most of the others work boots and at this point Danner Boots are the best hands down. There is another reveiw for this boot that had me wondering about the purchase I made. Well after I received the boots I could not see anything visually wrong with them. They are work boots so to have issue with leather grain is simply being too picky. They are WORK boots not the leather seats in you BMW. The boots fit perfectly. The fit was the other thing I was worried about.I'm a Maintence and Production Manager in the P.E.T bottle making industry.I often times go from climbing around in the euipment,to the board room .So If you are looking for good work boots that you can depend on and not have to worry about looking good, these are the boots for you.You can either buy boots from all the competitors or you can purchase the last pair you will need .With Danner boots being re-creatable and the folks at Danner giving you several options to repair why would you not purchase these boots.

Not what I expected

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 400G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Work Boots:

Unfortunately, these boots were not what I expected. I needed a new pair of insulated boots for work, and after researching a few different boots, I chose these. I have other Danner boots, so I knew what I was getting ( or so I thought). When these boots arrived,I noticed right away that a piece of the midsole was missing from the front of one of the boots. (Cut wrong maybe?) After looking at the rest of the sole/midsole areas of both boots, they looked pretty sloppy for the money I paid for them.

The other noticeable issue I had, was the leather. The pictures show (at least to me) the boots to be constructed with a nice smooth leather. The ones that I received had a soft leather with a pebble grain finish to them, which I did not like at all. Even zooming in on the website pictures didn't show the type of leather that my boots arrived with.

My other Danners are made in the USA, and these obviously are not. I tried not to be biased against the overseas made boots, but it seems that you get what you pay for.

While I'm disappointed with the boots (especially since I was excited and paid extra to have them overnighted), I'm still happy with Danner, and my other boots. I'm not sure if I got lemons, but next time I guess I'll save a little more and go with USA made boots.

Comments about Danner Workman GTX 400G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Work Boots:

I didn't want to but a usa made product 1st cause of the price so I tried these out 1st. They have been great! I weld and pipe fit so I am around some conditions that destroy your boot. These have held up better than any boot I have purchased. I would buy these specifically for hot/dirty construction. They are big safe boots. If I was working out of a small wood shop these arn't needed but overall great boot! Gonna purchase the US made ones next!
