Best Uses

Comments about Danner Roughhouse Mountain GTX Womens Hiking Boots:

After much boot research online, I bought these boots for a season of hiking and trail work in Montana last year, so I wore them every day for about six months. I would expect any boot to lose its magic during so much use, but I was shocked by how quickly these started breaking down. During the first week of use, a lace hook snapped off. By the end of the season, three lace hooks had snapped off and the seams were tearing. (I know I wasn't tying them wrong; I got a specialist to show me how to lace them up.) There was no "breaking them in," they were extremely uncomfortable even after I bought new insoles that fit my feet perfectly. These are bad quality boots that do not reflect their price at all.
