Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Vandal GTX 8" Non-Metallic Safety Toe 600G Work Boots:
Work in a mine, got them for abrasion resistance in walking through blasted, hard quartzite rock. Also for water resistance where frequently walking through pools that are 3-10" deep.
Boots are only water-proof to top of toes, not to top of tongue as other versions I've owned, so 3-4" max water depth or I get wet feet. Below that they are indeed water proof, but so what? so are my tennis shoes to that depth. That was one of the purposes for my purchase of this boot, so I was somewhat disappointed in that regard.
Seams are failing on the boots, I've had them for a year, the seams started to go after about 10 months of wearing them daily, 4-5 days a week.
Foam padded insoles have pits, and holes in them simply from abrasion under my heels, after 6 months of wear. I now need to get additional insoles to wear the boots comfortably under my feet, which makes the boots a bit tighter across the top of my feet.
It took about 3-4 days to break in the boots, first pair of Danner's I've needed any break-in period with, prior to this I've never had a sore spot or a blister from a pair of new Danner's. I've owned 3 pair prior to this. These boots gave me some tender spots, but no blisters.
Overall, I'd say I'm ambivalent about these boots. They perform adequately, barely. Though they are the lowest quality Danner's I've ever owned, and I would not recommend them to others, especially at the price I paid. I'm willing to pay a premium for good quality footwear, but these don't fit that description in my opinion.
Pros
- Comfort support quality
Cons
- none
Best Uses
- Outside work

Comments about Danner Vandal GTX 8" Non-Metallic Safety Toe 600G Work Boots:
I Use them every day at work and play. On loading docks, in my truck, and hiking. Over 14 months of almost daily use and the only thing that has "worn out" is the back plastic panel has come unstiched. (thus the 4 star rating) I bought them a 1/2 size larger and put a megellon insole because of hours on my feet on concrete floor. Great fit, great comfort, and only minor wear of the treads on the bottom. Not good traction on finished floors Excellent on non finished floors like wood, conrete, and asphalt.
