Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side-Zip Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
I am a firefighter/paramedic who has gone through his share of boots. This was my first pair of Danner's. I was pleased at how comfortable they were but after wearing them for only a week, the zipper broke. [...] another pair which lasted 10 minutes before breaking. Same problem. The sent me a third pair that I didn't even zip up once and that one broke. They are currently trying to get me into a different style. I'm ready to ask for my money back.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side-Zip Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
I've been a fan of Danner since the Origianl Striker GTX side zip boot was released. I like the striker GTX II's, but my first pair out of the box had a zipper failure before even going into service. You cannot affordf to have your boots fail while on patrol. My second pair did not have this issue, but they wore out very quickly. I think costs were cut since they are not made in house. I'd like to have the option of going back to the original Striker GTX.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side-Zip Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
I can confirm that these boots are 100% non metallic. The lace eyelets and zippers are all made from non metallic materials.
Passing through metal detectors is a non issue with these because of their construction.
I wish Danner would make a 100% non metallic version of the Power Foreman GTX. It would better suited to the type of work I do but these boots hold up well to the abuse I subject them too. I'm on my feet 10 hours a day doing heavy lifting on concrete and steel grated cat walks.
The composite toe has proven to be incredibly strong and durable. They have withstood devastating blows that sheared through the leather like butter only to be stopped by danners NMT.

Comments about Danner Striker II GTX Side-Zip Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
I've had this boot for 4 months. The side zipper keeps popping out. As a member of The Canadian Forces Primary Reserves Infantry and a full time Law Enforcement Officer with a Police Service, I was very disappointed with this product.
