Striker® Torrent GTX® 6" Side Zip Uniform Boots
Designed for speed and constructed for stability, the Torrent is built on our lightest weight and most versatile TFX platform, the Danner® TFX-8. The Torrent also features a full-grain leather upper with a lightweight 1000 Denier nylon, a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® lining, a removable footbed with open cell construction for air circulation and a custom Vibram® Torrent outsole, designed with a pentagonal pivot point lug pattern for grip in all directions.

The 851 last is an update to our popular 850 last. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. Offering a specific heel shape that locks the heel in place for better fit and comfort on the back end of the boot, this supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

In my first six months on the job in law enforcement I went through two pairs of boots. One busted a zipper and on the other pair I caught the toe and ripped the sole off. Decided to buy a better pair of boots and went with Danners. I love these boots. Very comfortable. If you have wide feet make sure you get the EE option. It took awhile to get a nice shine, but now that I've done it it is easy to bring back with just a little polish and effort. Overall a great investment.

These boots are great. I work on concrete all day and walk a lot, my feet still feel great at the end of 12+ hours. The boots keep your feet warm in cold weather and dry and comfortable in warm conditions. Also, they need little to no break-in. I agree with the other review that they don't keep a good shine. I recommend this boot for women having a hard time finding proper fitting duty boots. I originally ordered a women's boot, but since they were a little too narrow I opted for this one, couldn't be happier. Great for corrections, no problem getting through security.

The boots are great. I wear them everyday on the job. I have a sore knee and he comfort has really helped it. I walk on concrete all day.
The only con I have is the shine durability. I shine them every night and it is gone by the next evening.
