The 610 is our most universal last and can be worn by all foot shapes and sizes. It provides a snug fit through the heel while allowing ample toe room for most versatile fit. This allows more support and side-to-side movement.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Raptor GTX Mens/Womens 400G Hunting Boots:
I bought my first pair of Raptors in 1993 and still wear them today. The stitching has started to come apart in the last year, but they are still waterproof. They are so comfortable, as all my Danner boots are, from the day you buy them and they only get better! After I bought these, and recognized the quality, I have only bought Danner footwear ever since! But I haven't needed new hunting boots for 15 years now! I recently bought another pair of Raptors, why mess with a good thing! THE BEST BOOTS ON THE PLANET!

Comments about Danner Raptor GTX Mens/Womens 400G Hunting Boots:
Got my first pair of raptors 12 years ago and they were AMAZING! Comfortable, tough, waterproof, did I mention tough? Wore them for everything from casual to hunting to the job site, went through 5 sets of outsoles on the same boots. Literally beat on them, no care at all just used a hose to wash them off if they were super muddy. In 2008 they finally began to seep water after a long, long, tough life so I thought what the heck, time for another pair. Naturally another set of raptors and thats where the problems started. First off I paid double what I paid for the first pair (to be expected I suppose with inflation and such) and they were never as comfortable and weren't water tight at all. The toebox leather was delaminating from the inside after a month making it feel thin and bruising the heck out of the side of my big toe any time I was in rough terrain. Now in Danner's defense I emailed them my displeasure and they immediately requested I return them so I did and they replaced them within 10 days with a brand new pair and I was thinking awesome what great customer service I suppose that pair just got a bad batch of leather or something. The problem is within a year this pair is having the leather delaminate in the exact same spot which sucks when you are going though rocky terrain and you leave with purplish bruises on the first joint on your largest metatarsal..... Not to mention neither of the new pairs have been even remotely as comfortable as I remember the original pair being. Don't get me wrong my feet aren't dying after a 12-14hr shift or 3-4 mile hike/hunt but with the first pair I felt like I could wear them 24/7 and my feet wouldn't hurt but not now. It's very disappointing I'm on the site looking at steel toes for my new job but I'm leary to drop that much money and have them be like my raptors. I used to swear by Danners. You wanted my opinion on good boots it was go Danner or go home. Now I'm not so sure.....
Sorry for the novel...

Comments about Danner Raptor GTX Mens/Womens 400G Hunting Boots:
After only moderate use, the sole is falling off BOTH boots. I think they were glued improperly at the factory. Never had this happen with previous Danners.

Comments about Danner Raptor GTX Mens/Womens 400G Hunting Boots:
I tried a pair of these boots based upon the positive reviews on this site. And, I love Danner boots. However, when I tried these on the tongue construction was troublesome. The tongue of the boot would not fold up comfortably across my ankle and leg. When I walked about the house with them I had several hot spots that I know would have turned to blisters as I started up in the mountains with them. Returned them for a pair of Danner Vanish boots. I have 3 pair of Vanish boots now and love them. Wanted to buy Made in USA but it didn't work out this time. If the Vanish boots were made in the USA they would be perfect, light-weight hiking boots. Comments about Danner Raptor GTX Mens/Womens 400G Hunting Boots:
The Raptor is the most versatile, best fitting boot there is. I've had mine for probably 10 years. Use them fall, winter and spring for everything from around the house work to hunting and hiking. The support is incredible. I don't think there is a better all around boot out there. Especially useful in winter hiking in snow and when scooping and blowing the white stuff here in South Dakota. They are a bit heavy but that is because of the superior materials. They are worth the price because they will last a long long time. My other pair of Danners is the Mt Light II and they are every bit as good. All you will ever need.
