The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.
Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe Work Boots:
I use these boots in rugged terrain in most types of weather. They had a short break-in period and feel great - sometimes I forget I'm wearing boots. As someone who's often on their feet going over rough ground, foot-comfort is HUGE. I have pretty wide feet (EE), and these boots beat the comfort of the firefighting boots I had made from a custom last several years back. I ended up giving those away.
At this point, my only constructive criticisms are as follows: Firstly, I wish they were available in a slightly thicker rough-out version; the smooth-finish exteriors are VERY vulnerable to scratching/cutting just by moving through heavy brush or over rocky terrain. Secondly, they could have a bit more arch support, but I dig the way included insole grabs my heel.
That's it - considering ordering a second pair as backup.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe Work Boots:
Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, I've owned several pair of workboots. Recently, I've been through 3 pair of Redwings that lasted only months, in addition to causing a pinched nerve in my big toe and a nasty irritation on the top of my feet.
After addressing my toe issue, my podiatrist advised me to search for "a quality pair of boots". That search ended with my first pair of Danner's.
These boots broke-in easily. The narrow fit allows me to lace them tightly without causing any irritation on my foot.
This is, simply, the most comfortable pair of boots that I've ever owned. The fit, features, and style are great.
What led me to Danner was the fact that they are American made. What will lead me back is the construction of these boots. The folks at Danner truly know what they are doing.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe Work Boots:
For some reason if you live on the east coast of the US the last Danner uses to make the shoe is about a 1/2 size small. I love these boots and they fit perfectly. I got mine 1/2 size larger than my measurement. Had them for 12 years.

I'm getting 3+ years per pair, which is unheard of in this country. I'll buy my fourth pair next spring.
