650 Last
The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe 200G Work Boots:

I recently wrote a review (Limey, in Italy) as I was disappointed with the leather on my pair of boots.

I took up the issue with Danner's customer service, who had no argument whatsoever and fixed my problem. If I were able to delete my initial review, I would. But as I am not able to, I can at least write this update.

Yes, I had a problem, but that's where you really find out if a particular company is good or bad. Danner are good, they addressed my problem, and so I can't fault them whatsoever. Thank you Danner, I will buy from you again, with confidence.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe 200G Work Boots:

I am a forester in Northern WI and I bought these boots when I was working in the vast wilds of the Peshekee Highlands in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. That place was like hell on Earth to work in and these boots stood up to basically everything that a forester can throw at them everyday. They do scuff and gouge pretty easily, but I'm not wearing them to the prom. One of the biggest reasons I bought them is because they were made with pride in the U.S.A. I work with pride in the U.S.A. and I want my boots to support American's. I procure stumpage from American's to support an American paper mill that employs American's. I'll be darned if I'll buy another pair of Danner's that isn't built by American hands. As much as I'm a forester that lives and breathes his job, I'm a consumer that knows the power of choice. Which is why I regret to inform Danner that you have lost my business for the time being due to your production of many versions of so-called "work boots" overseas. It's a crime to your employees and your devout customers to outsource your "work boots." I need a new pair of safety toe work boots and would love to have another pair of quality Danner's like my Rain Forests. However, I won't buy your Quarry steel toes because they don't bear the same American flag that is etched on my hard hat, my Rain Forests, and my soul.

P.S. Don't wear the Rain Forests in snow or on ice--too slick. And maybe consider making a Rain Forest model (in America!) that has a steel/alloy toe.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe 200G Work Boots:

I have had these boots for 6+ years. They are still in great shape. I wear them everyday for work, as a telephone technician. I have the insulated version, and wear it them all year long. I change of socks makes them versatile for summer or winter. And it does get cold in WI. You could get a pair with more insulation, but these fit the bill just fine for me. My hunting boots have a little extra added insulation, but that's a whole different game there. I use the Danner line of products for the upkeep, ie. waterproofing gel, and the boot dressing. They are not only still waterproof, but by far the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. I have sent them in to be resoled and refurbished, maybe cost more than a new pair of "store" boots, but worth the price. The Recrafting Department does an EXCELLENT job. I figure on wearing these for years to come.

Comments about Danner Rain Forest Brown Plain Toe 200G Work Boots:

I've had my pair for about 8 months now, and while they're warm, comfortable, rugged and waterproof, the leather is so ugly, it's unbelievable.

The pigmented type of leather, used on my pair has wrinkled all over the place.

Before I get the inevitable comments back, Yes -they are the correct size and they're well cared for. I'm an ex-Army Brit, so I know full well how to look after a pair of boots.

From the toe, running backwards at an angle, there are huge creases, running in waves. I don't know if they weren't stretched over the last well enough at manufacture? But my boots don't do a great job of advertising the Danner brand.

Not anti-Danner or anything, but pretty disappointed in them none-the-less.
