The Danner Pronghorn® series has been a favorite of hunters for years. We've introduced some key changes while keeping most elements of the classic design. The new Tech-Tuff toe and heel protect the leather and your feet from sharp rocks and other hazards on or off the trail. An improved lacing system and more aggressive outsole were engineered to keep you secure and agile over long distances.

- 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® liner is engineered to keep your feet dry and comfortable - even in extreme conditions
- Durable full-grain leather plus breathable 1000 Denier nylon upper for excellent durability and abrasion resistance
- TERRA FORCE™ X platform provides lightweight, durable traction, heel-to-toe energy transfer, side support to enhance maneuverability, and protection from arch overwork and fatigue.
- Fatigue Fighter™ footbeds are deeply padded for all day comfort and high-mileage arch support
- Scuff-proof Tech-Tuff toe and heel
- Realtree APG™ is lighter, more open, more neutral-toned, and features more contrast than the competition. It's like Realtree AP™, but with olive green accents added
- Mountain Goat TF™ outsole was designed with the mountain goat hoof in mind. The tough outer lugs cut into the terrain and the soft inner padding offers superior traction mimicking the goat’s ability to side hill in any condition

This boot is built on our most popular last, the 850. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. This comfortable, supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

What you are going to find in customer reviews is that those of us who have owned the "original" leather Pronghorn are dissatisfied with the "new" Pronghorn but first time customers like the Danner "quality" but simply do not have anything to compare them against.
If you owned the "old" style, then you won't even recognize this Pronghorn.
I just bought the "new" style last week.
It has lost the suppleness that gave it "out-of-the-box" comfort.
It has lost its light weight.
It has lost the convenient sized lacing hooks.
I have been a Danner customer for 25 years and I have owned 2 pair of the old Pronghorns over the past 6 years. I use them for hunting/hiking and during my work as a Surveyor. I will still purchase Danner in the future; however, I will find a different product that is designed for the field like the old Pronghorns were. These new ones are designed for the jobsite. Regards.

My Pronghorn classics were the best boot I have ever ownned. Finally wore them out and got the new style and am very disappointed. Not only are they heavier, but the reinforced toe makes it essentially a steel toe boot. Which for some may not be a problem. Very uncomfortable for me. I would not recommend the new style pronghorn.

I have owned three pair of Pronghorns and this is the best pair yet. The added protection on the toes and heels are excellent for serious hunters. The extra 8oz in weight is not a big deal. I spent two weeks bow hunting in Hells Canyon in all weather conditions and these boots held up great.

This is my 3rd pair of Pronghorn boots. The main reason for selecting Danner and their Pronghorn boots was the light-weight and quality of the boots. Now they added 9 oz (that's more than 1/2 of a pound!) to the new model. I noticed immediately and was not pleased.
