Pronghorn 8" Brown

$190.00
|  Style 42282

Born of legends and crafted with the ruggedness of a pronghorn's husk, the speed and stability of its quickest pace, and the weightlessness of its moments in flight, the new Danner Pronghorn® is built to stand the test of time.

The Danner Pronghorn® series has been a favorite of hunters for years. We've introduced some key changes while keeping most elements of the classic design. The new Tech-Tuff toe and heel protect the leather and your feet from sharp rocks and other hazards on or off the trail. An improved lacing system and more aggressive outsole were engineered to keep you secure and agile over long distances.

Boot Details
  • 100% waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® liner is engineered to keep your feet dry and comfortable - even in extreme conditions
  • Durable full-grain leather upper plus breathable 1000 Denier nylon for excellent durability and abrasion resistance
  • TERRA FORCE™ X platform provides lightweight, durable traction, heel-to-toe energy transfer, side support to enhance maneuverability, and protection from arch overwork and fatigue.
  • Fatigue Fighter™ footbeds are deeply padded for all day comfort and high-mileage arch support
  • Scuff-proof Tech-Tuff toe and heel
  • Mountain Goat TF™ outsole was designed with the mountain goat hoof in mind. The tough outer lugs cut into the terrain and the soft inner padding offers superior traction mimicking the goat’s ability to side hill in any condition
  • Nylon shank
  • 8" height
  • 58oz
  • Imported
850 Last
This boot is built on our most popular last, the 850. This last fits true to size with an athletic and supportive fit while providing ample room in the toe. This comfortable, supportive fit is ideal for those needing high mileage performance from their gear.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Pronghorn GTX Brown Hunting Boots:

I have read the reviews listed here and have to disagree with most them. I have been buying Danner boots for many years and have never had an issue with the "waterproofing". I have never had a pair of boots that were ready right out of the box, Danner boots included. I have always put mink oil, or in the case of Danner, their boot treatment, on my boots and let it soak in overnight before taking them out. I bought a pair of Pronghorns on Saturday, November 19, 2010 and have been hunting in 12-18 inches of snow all week; I have not had a problem with wet or cold feet.Boot care is paramount on ANY pair of boots you buy; before and after wearing them.

Comments about Danner Pronghorn GTX Brown Hunting Boots:

when I discovered the original Pronghorns I was extremely happy with these boots albeit they weren't all that "rugged" but these newly designed Pronghorns are awesome - I will most likely leave the Meindls at home

  • Rugged
  • Zero Break-in

Cons

  • A bit lunky
  • Not water proff at all

Best Uses

  • Any terrain
  • NOT in the rain

Comments about Danner Pronghorn GTX Brown Hunting Boots:

I am a Park Ranger and these boots are great when they are not soaked through wet. A walk up the mountain in a light drizzle through grass and they became soaked with puddles in the boot!
