DLE-01 Last
The DLE-01 last was designed to be an extension of the foot with superior forefoot and heel capture, stability and a more anatomical shape for comfort. The additional space in the toebox allows the foot to naturally react when bearing a heavy load or changing directions laterally in high intensity environments.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Melee 8" GTX Military Boots:

I wear these to work including four mile walking commute every day. No need for break in. Fit and feel better than my running shoes. I wear EE and the toe box is a little tight. Heel is a little loose as previously stated. Length is perfect. Laces tight for good ankle support without cramping toes. Good traction on wet slick cement and wet snow. Sole does not hang onto wet red clay. Minimal sole and good traction make for excellent lateral movement. Would not hesitate to take them into rough terrain, just not my job right now. Wearing now for two weeks no problems. Can't comment on durability in granite or lava fields. They are keepers.

Comments about Danner Melee 8" GTX Military Boots:

I've only worn these boots for one full day of work so far so I may write again later. I'll just say these boots are just what i've been looking for in so many ways; flat sole with minimal tread, light weight, ergonomic toebox, and simple construction. My only complaint so far is the heel has no cup shape. It's just straight up and down so it doesn't hold your heel in place and rubs hard on the back. Maybe after some more break in time it will get better
