Danner's lightest and most flexible tactical boot, the Melee features a unique outsole design. Our unique Melee outsole is constructed with a 360˚ pentagonal low lug pattern for grip in all directions, a rugged outer lug pattern with molded siping that disperses water and provides maximum surface contact and Danner’s patent pending VIA technology which provides a V-4 abrasion rubber compound in the medial side arch for fast roping control.

DLE-01 Last
The DLE-01 last was designed to be an extension of the foot with superior forefoot and heel capture, stability and a more anatomical shape for comfort. The additional space in the toebox allows the foot to naturally react when bearing a heavy load or changing directions laterally in high intensity environments.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

I'm a Border Patrol Agent spend hours on rough terrain wet and dry. This boot has great traction, light weight, waterproof and ready to go right out of the box. Boot feels like a sneaker and just as comfortable!!

I use the boot in the Law Enforcement setting. It is great looking, light, nimble and seems as though it will be durable. There's nothing but good to say about this boot a couple of weeks into ownership.

I use this boot as my EMS duty boot. Fit and finish are excellent. Very comfortable once broken in. They did take a little extra time to break in. Highly recommend.

working in wet and dry area out in wooded areas. The boot is light wieght and cumfortable. The boot takes a little while to get broke in but after that it was what I was looking for

I am a border patrol agent and bought these boots when they discontinued the Pursuits. So far im not happy with these boots. I have been wearing them for about three months now and they still cause blisters every time I have to do long hikes, climb hills/mountains or run. They just do not seem like I can get them to break in. The boots are comfortable if you don have to do a lot of walking or running but unfortunately I do.
