650 Last
The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.

Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Hood Winter Light 200G Hunting Boots:

I bought these boots way back in 2000 and initially thought maybe I spent too much on them.
It is 9 years later and I hate to admit it but I finally wore the lugs off the soles after wearing them allmost every day for work and play. the leather is like a second skin and still intact.
Only once have a pair of boots lasted me 3 years but 9 years wow.
I am a commercial industrial HVACR person, walk miles everyday, climb ladders and catwalks, in wet and dry climates, from 140 degree boiler rooms to -40 degree rooftops and freezers (allbeit I dont stay long at -40). These boots have withstood the ultimate tests of time and extremes. The insulation keeps the feet cool and dry in hot climates as well.
Wish the warranty lasted 10 years. or 100,000 miles.

Comments about Danner Hood Winter Light 200G Hunting Boots:

This is my first pair of Danner's and not my last. Right out of the box the boots were soft and fit perfectly. The overall quality of construction is literally second to none. I've heard a lot about Danner quality but until you put these on, lace em' up and walk around in them you have no idea. I looked at a lot of different boots from various manufacturers. I couldnt be more happy with this purchase. These boots are perfect for just about everything. Hunting, working outdoors and they make an excellent hiking boot as well. I've even recently shoveled snow in them and they are perfect. All around perfection. They are not too hot in summer months either. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone. Thank you Danner.

Comments about Danner Hood Winter Light 200G Hunting Boots:

I exclusively use these boots for bow hunting. They provide just the right amount of cold weather protection for that time of year. They do lack a little in ankle support but are ultimately worth the money. Great in wet weather or walking in tall wet grass to your stand. I can assume these boots would be great for a variety of uses.

Comments about Danner Hood Winter Light 200G Hunting Boots:

I am an avid Hunter probably a dozen or more times per year of hard hunting. I have never considered spending around $300 for a pair of Hunting boots but did so this time. These boots without a doubt are the most comfortable no break in boot you can buy. I only kick myself for not doing it before because I could have saved twice that because of buying cheaper boots. The Great thing is they are made right here in the United States Of America. Danner you have a customer for life

Comments about Danner Hood Winter Light 200G Hunting Boots:

My father worn Danners in the Marine Corps and swore by them. My grandfather wore Danners while working for the forest service. Thats all the recommendation I needed. The only thing that made me hold out on getting a pair of Danners was the price, for the Made in USA pairs.

Well walking into a local big box chain store I noticed they had all thier USA made Danners on a fire sale. I had always wanted an all leather hunting boot and noticed the Hood Winters at the fire sale price. I asked the store associate to measure up my foot and find the corresponding size Hood Winters. Tried them on, walked around the shoe section once and said "SOLD".

Got the home, applied some Obenauf's and away we went. No break in was needed. Never had one hot spot. These boots have been nothing but AMAZING.

From the Sonoran Desert hunting doves, quail and coyotes to pinon-juniper/ponderosa pine high elevations hunting Mule deer and Elk, these boots have not let me down in the last two years. They take on cactus and cat claw in stride while giving great ankle support on rocks.

Even though having 200g insulation in them, they don't get hot while wearing them in the desert.

To anyone looking for a great hunting and general outdoors boot for the southwest USA, look no further than the Hood Winters.
