An ideal three-season hunting boot, the overbuilt, USA-made Hawk™ features GORE-TEX® lining, providing breathable, waterproof protection, and 200G Thinsulate™ Insulation for lightweight warmth. The nubuc leather upper and Danner’s famous stitchdown construction provide durability, comfort and stability, and the self-cleaning Danner® Bob® outsole, known as one of the world’s best hunting outsoles, tracks steadily in the snow and mud.

The 610 is our most universal last and can be worn by all foot shapes and sizes. It provides a snug fit through the heel while allowing ample toe room for most versatile fit. This allows more support and side-to-side movement.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

I bought these boots 1 week before an antelope hunt in southern Idaho. After 5 days of hunting and packing an antelope out on steep terrain for 1-1/2 miles, I had no blisters (although a little rubbing) and my feet felt great. The boots had almost no break in period - I just kept tightening them up a little more each morning until they fit my feet perfect. A few weeks later, I packed 2 mule deer bucks out of deep canyons in 2 days - And again, the Hawks were great. 10-15 degree mornings and my feet were never cold. Love these Danners.

I use these boots for hunting only. They are comfortable but the break in period seemed to take longer than usual, especially in the heel counter area. I sent 1 pair back thinking it may have been defective but had the same problem with the replacements. The stitching in the heel area also has become broken after just 1 season (no I don't push the heel off with the other foot) I have had this problem with other Danners.

I WORK FOR SPECIAL OPS.K9 IN SOUTH GA.RUNNING THRU STUFF THAT OLD SAVIVOR MAN WOULD RUN FROM DAY AND NIGHT,WITH A BLOODHOUND TIED TO ME.IVE BEEN WEARING THESE BOOTS FOR 8YRS.BEST ALROUND BOOT MADE,I RUN IN THEM RIGHT OUT THE BOX NO BREAKIN NEEDED.THEY ARE ALITTLE HEAVY BUT MAKE IT UP IN COMFORT AND STABILITY.I WISH DANNER WOULD LET ME FEILD TEST FOR THEM,IF I CANT TEAR UM UP NOBODY CAN.
