Fort Lewis™ Mens/Womens 600G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots
Created with the help of two career Army officers from Fort Lewis, Washington, the USA-made Fort Lewis™ is FORSCOM approved and loaded with all the features a warrior or law enforcement professional needs. The outsole, made of a specialized Dri Ice™ compound, remains flexible in extreme cold to aid slip resistance. The full-grain leather upper and GORE-TEX® lining keeps the boot waterproof. Danner’s famous stitchdown construction gives a more stable platform underfoot and superior durability. The Pro-Tec™ non-metallic toe is puncture-resistant and meets or exceeds ASTM F2413-05 M I/75 C/75 EH.

- The non-metallic safety toe won’t conduct heat or cold to the foot, and meets or exceeds ASTM standard F2413-05 M I/75 C/75 EH. Electrical hazard (EH) footwear is manufactured with non-conductive electrical shock resistant soles and heels.
The 516S is designed specifically for models that include a safety toe. It offers a sleek, slender profile with a toe area that can accommodate the safety toe cap. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.
Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Fort Lewis Mens/Womens 600G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
I purchased these boots as a young lieutenant right out of Ranger School. 17 years later I am still wearing them.
One of the best pieces of gear I have ever owned. This boot has been beaten mercilessly in all kinds of situations from parachuting, to months at a time in muddy field conditions, to hiking and fishing trips on multiple continents.
Superb quality.
If you want the real deal, pick up a pair of these. You won't be sorry.

Comments about Danner Fort Lewis Mens/Womens 600G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
This is my 2nd pair of Ft Lewis.
I have an older pair of the non-insulated version, which I love.
I picked these for the extra insulation, and protective cap. However, this boot is VERY bulky, and feels heavy. The cap makes for a huge toe, and just looks downright funny. The stock photo is NOT what these boots look like. Also, when the top area is pulled as tight as it can go with the laces, there is still a lot of room between my leg, and the boot, and I have 18in calves. Laces will slack, and become loose in the ankle area.
Also, for its weight, this is not a very warm boot. My pair of 200g Rain Forrests are warmer.
Seems like a noble thought, having a warmer version of the mighty Ft Lewis, but excution was poor. Should have stuck with the plain ol' Ft Lewis. I had really high hopes for these, but they ended up being a expensive disappointment.

BEST BOOT I HAVE EVER OWNED, BUT NOT BUILT FOR WORKING IN A CONCRETE-FLOOR ENVIRONMENT. NOT ENOUGH SHOCK ABSORPTION MATERIALS IN SOLES.

Comments about Danner Fort Lewis Mens/Womens 600G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
I work on a Freezer ship in Alaska. After talking with a Danner rep over the phone, I took his recomendation and bought these boots. They keep my feet dry, but not warm at all. I've tried thick, heavy socks, thin socks, and everything in between and my[$]ubber boots are warmer and lighter and more comfortable. These things feel like 10 extra pounds on my feet, and they don't keep me warm at all. I like Danner products, but am very unhappy with these and feel like I wasted allot...yes, allot of money.

Comments about Danner Fort Lewis Mens/Womens 600G Non-Metallic Safety Toe Uniform Boots:
These are my second pair for Ft. Lewis but first pair with steel toes. Love the extra room in the toe area for my big ol' feet. Finally a steel toe that I can wear for long perios of time without pain.
GREAT boots.
