Fort Lewis™ Light Mens/Womens Military Boots
Patterned after the Fort Lewis, but lighter due to its tear-resistant fabric panels, the USA-made Fort Lewis™ Light is just as tough. A rough-out full-grain leather and 1000 Denier nylon upper protects the outside of the foot. A GORE-TEX® liner provides waterproof, breathable protection. Lace to toe gives better fit and support. Danner’s famous stitchdown construction gives the boot a more stable platform underfoot and superior durability.

The 610 is our most universal last and can be worn by all foot shapes and sizes. It provides a snug fit through the heel while allowing ample toe room for most versatile fit. This allows more support and side-to-side movement.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

As a frequent traveler of the universe, I have found these boots to be the best I have worn yet. I have also been through 3 zombie apocalypses and encountered four different scenarios where the walking dead have attempted to bite my ankles, but thanks to the 10 inch design and Vibram sole I was able to fend off the bite while simultaneously destroying the rotting cranium.
Buy these boots and you too can travel the universe and survive zombie encounters.

Hey I just got back from spending 4 weeks in the cloud forests of honduras, very rough turane that is always on an incline. These boots help up amazingly and kept my feet dry the entire time which is very impressive if you have ever been to a cloud forest. Hiking in them 8 hours a day, these boots did an amazing job all around and were incredibly durable as well as comfortable. I even wore them around town for a few days and actually flew in them just to break them in a bit, which they needed very little as they were incredibly comfortable all day.
The one thing i was disappointed about was that in the left boot only after about a week of heavy use the inner liner started to get loose and became a problem when getting my foot i and out of the boot. But fortunately the great people at Danner sent me a new pair right after i sent them in. Great service.

I have used Danner for years. It is my #1 boot.I bought these Fort Lewis for summer use. My black all leather Fort Lewis are the best for cool temp. My Arcadia are Black and I have Desert Arcadia, I also have Rat.Back to these "Light Fort Lewis".The stitching on the 1000 Denier nylon seam ripped open. I was in shock and this happened only 2 months of harsh use.It ripped open on my left foot on the bottom panel left side.My Foot size in an R-10 in all of my boots. And these "Fort Lewis" felt and will feel good again. So I know %100 that EE is not the way to go. My other boots with 1000 Denier nylon have not ripped open and they are a size R-10, they also have the gortex liner's.The 1000 Denier nylon has the Gortex attached to it. So the 1000 Denier is the gortex liner.I think when I got these boots they must have been seconds.[...]These boots give me the support I need and I did trust them.Now as I have said they are in shop. I am having the panels fully redone on both boots.As I have said I use these boots in very harsh way. But 2 months is too soon.Please check your stitching when you get these boots. I know I should have. But then if you are only wearing them for avid light use you should not have a problem.But when you use them to help others off mountain and to "Hilo" well in my opinion buy the "black Fort Lewis" the downside is hot weather conditions for the "black Fort Lewis". But the up side is they will never break.I am almost in tears over these "Light Fort Lewis". They will be back home with me soon.And I will be loving them again, and they will be protecting my feet again.For now I am wearing my "Arcadia in the Day time" Night time I am wearing my "Black Fort Lewis". Rat I keep for only when I really need to "Hilo in:)" of course my Rat do not have steel toe.You will love these boots, I think I just got a bad boot that was put together by someone who had a bad week, or had a "hang over".Danner is the way to go.
