Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
  • Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
  • When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Free Return Shipping
Rest assured that if the boot you receive doesn’t fit correctly, we pay for return shipping back to us. You can order with confidence knowing return shipping is always on us.

Comments about Danner Elk Ridge GTX Hunting Boots:

THese were the worse boots I've ever owned in terms of trying to break them in,the design is very flawed in that revits irritate the inside of your ankles. I've used band aides and everyting and still bad after many walks.

Comments about Danner Elk Ridge GTX Hunting Boots:

I have owned these boots for a couple of months now and so far, I have really enjoyed them. As a professional forester in Minnesota, I am on my feet literally everday in the woods. Crusing timber in all types of weather. I was attracted to the cordura and leather simply because they are lighter for hiking yet still have an adequate sole design vs a traditional heavy logger boot. I have had to snug them up a couple of times, but I'm sure that is just part of the small break in period. If your looking for a lightweight all around outdoor boot with great style out of the box, these are it.

Comments about Danner Elk Ridge GTX Hunting Boots:

Only had the boots for two days. Had to get use to the sole. Wore them all day today and did not have any problems with the rivets hurting my ankles. Overall, I am comfortable in the boots. This is my third pair of Danners. Would not go back to anything else.

Comments about Danner Elk Ridge GTX Hunting Boots:

The only reason I bought this boot is because it took the place of the FRONTIER. Not satisfied at all. You took a great boot like the Frontier and replaced it with a boot that doesn't wear and fit as good. I used the Frontier for hunting and as a work boot. It was a very durable and waterproof boot. It would be great to see it return.

              Constructive Criticism

Comments about Danner Elk Ridge GTX Hunting Boots:

Have owned Danner boots for 20+ years. First issue, rivets, stitching and tongue all come together right on the ankle bone. Hunted for three days, they will not break in, trust me. Would recommend trying on the Elk Ridge GTX prior to purchase via internet. Hopefully just a bad pair of boots and not a design inefficiency. Hope this helps! 4 stars because Danners boots are top notch for upland hunting!!!
