Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough-Out GTX 400G Military Boot:
I was skeptical about picking the correct size when purchasing this boot online.. I was told by a friend in my ROTC program that a pair of Danner boots was like gold compared to the low quality boots our ROTC program issued to us. So I did a little research and found that Danner provided a foot scale that you can print out and measure your foot on. Its very accurate and even shows you if you need regular width or normal width boots. I am normally a size 10-1/2 with my PT shoes (Asics), the scale showed me that I needed size 10 Danners (wide), so I purchased them and they couldn't be better. My feet stayed extremely dry and comfortable even after walking through marsh/swamps in the middle of the dense woods for about 300 meters. I would highly recommend these, they are comfortable, lightweight, completely waterproof. I love these boots.

Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough-Out GTX 400G Military Boot:
I love this boot. I'm stationed at Ft Drum, and this boot is amazing, especially when we are out at the range all day in sub zero temps. It is much more "foot friendly" than traditional boots because it cradles the foot and has a more natural feel. I have two other pairs of Danners, and they are all great. Also, it being waterproof and having 400 grams of insulation will let you go anywhere there is snow for extended periods.

Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough-Out GTX 400G Military Boot:
I have been using these boots for the past month almost every day 9n the woods and on rocky terrain and they are a very comfortable boot, right out of the box. I leave them on for hours and they remain comfortable. These are my second pair of Danner boots. I have the black leather GTX I use for work so buying another pair of Danner was a no-brainer for me. Very satisfied with these and would highly recommend them.

Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough-Out GTX 400G Military Boot:
After research, I discovered that Danner was the top of the line, so I began my purchase there. I have very wide feet (3E), and needed something that would not feel like a vise, and that would allow me to walk all day with no problems. The customer service person assured me that the 2E boots were a bit wider than just 2E and that they would be worth the shot. I was wary about purchasing without trying them on, but I took the risk. The Customer Service rep was correct. Granted, they took some very short break-in, but that's to be expected. These boots are very comfortable, and in snow and ice, my feet remained quite warm. I didn't feel the least bit cold. I didn't like the supplied insoles, but that's not why you buy these boots. I just got a set someplace else that fit my needs.I won't go anywhere else after this.

Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough-Out GTX 400G Military Boot:
this boot is very comfortable... feels like a warm soft shoe. Yet the support is super, and the weather stays on the outside. I wear a size 15, so to have a boot this light is great. I've got three different Danners' in the closet. love them all.
