Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

Comments about Danner Desert Acadia Mens/Womens Hot Military Boots - Mojave Olive:
This boot is one of the greatest boots I have ever worn. After 2 days of owning a pair I went on a 20km hike full load. No blisters or problems. I have owned 2 pairs on 2 combat deployments as an Infantryman in the Marines.
They are a bit heavy, but honestly I have owned alot of boots from hunting to militarly ones and boots that a generally heavier are more comfortable and dont cause foot injury. Lighter boots seem to have more break in time and my feet are usually more sore even after being broke in. (which also includes Danner's Marine Reg boots. I've had alot more problems with them hurting my feet.) I personally think you just have to get used the weight.
The 1 con I have with these boots is... The stitching at the heal by the ankle tends to wear out. Very fast for me within a year which unfortunately is past Danner warranty.(happened on both pairs)
Over all great boot and suggest them to any Marine, I see for deployment.

Comments about Danner Desert Acadia Mens/Womens Hot Military Boots - Mojave Olive:
I was issued these boots while I was a member of a US Army Infantryman. I wore these boots during depoyments to Baghdad, Iraq and Afghanistan. These boots survived two IED explosions, countless days over 100 degrees, immersion in diesel fuel and solvents, blood, grit and [*].These boots are tough as nails. Other than wear on the soles, they're perfect, even after the bashing that I've given them.I wish that a version of the Desert Acadia was produced that was the same height as the Danner Light II.

Comments about Danner Desert Acadia Mens/Womens Hot Military Boots - Mojave Olive:
This is my first pair from Danner, but I've worn various other issue boots over the last 8 years for duty.
My first impression of the boots was that they were well constructed. The attention to detail in the stitching and soles far surpassed the last three pairs of hot weather and temperate boots I've worn. While the upper appeared to be stiff, once I wore the boots for an afternoon off duty, they wore in comfortable with no hot spots from stiff points, and had little to no break in with relation to the heel or footbed.
On further wear, my impressions remained favorable, as did the experience. They were purchased to be used primarily to be used in an environment that varies from a warm/temperate summer to an extreme cold weather winter in the mountains. They were intended to be put to hard use, while under a rucksack. So far, they have surpassed my expectations, and are holding up well.
These are not lightweight, no load comfort boots for garrison. Although they remain comfortable in that role, what they sacrifice in a higher weight is more than made up for in durability and fit. The few extra ounces of weight and a stiffer footbed don't make that much of a difference walking around, but pay off dividends under a heavy load and time in the field. The extra support is what I was specifically looking for in a road marching boot.
I highly recommend them for purchase in the for your next pair of temperate weather boots.

Comments about Danner Desert Acadia Mens/Womens Hot Military Boots - Mojave Olive:
I bought these for my deployment to Baghdad when I wasn't happy with the issue Altamas that I was given and did extensive research on a good replacement. I am so happy that I did. They are exceptionally comfortable, and I wore them 14-20 hours each day without any foot fatigue. They are very durable and are still going strong after another deployment and a fair amount of everyday wear (not active duty anymore). I have some pronounced wear on the back of the heel inside, but I fixed it with some moleskin (caused by wearing too-thin socks that allowed my foot to travel up and down against the heel). I'm looking to buy another pair of boots because some moron in the Air Force decided green boots were essential, and I'm looking at Danner again. I did put that these are heavy, but it's more of a notice than a criticism. I also have been amazingly pleased with the hot weather performance. For whatever reason, even with thicker socks, I never felt that my feet were overheating even in temperatures over 100. My feet tend to be very sensitive to hot weather especially when wearing cushioned socks, but I have never had a problem with the Danners. Conversely, they have been warm in winter weather as well, including deep snow and near zero temps in MO and PA.
