DFA 4.5" GTX® Uniform Boots
Designed as a vertical assault weapon, the Danner Flight Assault (DFA) features low oil content nubuc leather, a lightweight 1000 Denier nylon upper, a hexagonal low lug outsole with a patent pending Vertical Insertion Arrestor (VIA) technology insert which provides abrasion resistance and superior control in fast roping applications.

- Patent pending Danner® Descender outsole featuring a Vibram® V-4 ultra-abrasion rubber compound built into the medial side arch for fast roping control. Multidirectional lug pattern for quick acceleration and braking in all directions

1368 Last
The 1368 last is a sleek, streamlined last that is excellent for light trail, multi-sport and casual use. Provides a running shoe-like fit and ultimate comfort.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

It is so nice when you are excited about a product, then it arrives, and it meets all of your expectations. I already own a pair of Acadias that I wear on patrol (law enforcement). I wanted a six inch boot that I could wear off duty, with jeans, or to the range, etc. It needed to be comfortable, sturdy, and true Danner quality...but for my off duty use. I bought the DFA boots hoping they would be perfect, and they were. I normally don't write reviews, but I wanted to say that these are just what I was looking for. Thank you Danner for your continued excellence. I do not have a single negative thing to say about this pair of boots. They are comfortable, and built to perfection.

I wish Danner had made these boots along time ago. I started LE 12 years ago wearing danner acadia duty boot, One year ago started wearing oakley 6 inch Si boot. I recently saw these boots and knew I wanted to try them. The DFA 4.5 GTX is the most comfortable boot I ever wore. I am extremly pleased with the quality and fit. Anybody reading this better buy this boot. Many thumbs up.
