DFA 8" GTX® Canteen Uniform Boots
Designed as a vertical assault weapon, the Danner Flight Assault (DFA) features low oil content nubuc leather, a lightweight 1000 Denier nylon upper, a hexagonal low lug outsole with a patent pending Vertical Insertion Arrestor (VIA) technology insert which provides abrasion resistance and superior control in fast roping applications.

The 1368 last is a sleek, streamlined last that is excellent for light trail, multi-sport and casual use. Provides a running shoe-like fit and ultimate comfort.
Tips for the Perfect Fit
- Measure both feet. If one foot is slightly larger than the other, select a size that fits the larger of the two.
- Consider the type of socks you’ll be wearing with your boot. For thicker socks, you may want to select a half size larger than you normally wear.
- When you do receive your boots, we recommend first wearing them indoors for a few hours to ensure they’re the right fit.

I needed a new boot and wanted to give these a go. They are good boots, they have a surprisingly good grip. These boots are padded, if you like the tightly laced boot for ankle support these aren't for you. Though they are stiffly padded and that offers some ankle support. If you lace them to tight the padding will cut off the circulation in your foot. These boots need a few miles to break in, which isn't horrible, though fairly comfortable even without a break in period. I rated it 4 stars because nothing is ever perfect.
