I wear my boots for 16-18 hours a day here in Iraq. Most Air Force Issued boots really bother my feet. I broke down and bought these boots. They are a little thicker than the regular desert hot weather boot, but that is fine as even with the extra thickness my feet don't sweat that much. Gore-tex is worth it. Great in water and mud. Comfortable from day one. No breaking in required. Can walk, stand, work in them all day. Besides all of that the only TFX boots with non-metallic safety toe, which is a requirement for me. Will never wear another pair of boots again.

Great boot, very comfortable. My only complaint is that they are a bit slippery in wet conditions and the boot could use speedlaces. Then again every pair of boots I've had cannot match up to conditions that firefighters face(water,oil,foam,ect.).I love that Danner offers this boot with a NMT rather than a steel toe.

Im currently stationed in Japan where it rains/snows about 40% of the year so its a must that i have a boot that is waterproof and can withstand cold temps and hot humid ones. These boots do that. Hands down the boots issued to us for cold weather and the competition "marauders" that you can buy at clothing exchange cant comparer to these boots. Since it is a non-metallic safety toe they do not conduct heat/cold or electricity which is a must with my job as im outside for 98% of it and causing any type of electrical conduction to the ground would cause fatal. NOW with my job i need to pull/push very heavy objects and when im in a condition like rain against a painted floor i slip all the time, this does not justify me purchasing another brand-name boot because this will happen with all types of boots but could possibly be improved upon, also i have owned these boots for 10 months and i need to get the outer-sole replaced as they are turning into racing slicks. I WILL BE GETTING THEM RE-SOLED, I am 100% recommending these to everyone considering these. i have NOT had any eye hook problems and i do not foresee any. these boots are dependable and long lasting, and if your considering getting those other boots "marauders" i think they are, you WILL get blisters on your feet and they DONT protect you from the elements, other co-workers got them and are very displeased by them. Get these if you work on the flight-line you will be disappointed with any other boot.

I have owned these boots for about 7 months now and have liked them up until about a month ago (right after warranty ran out). They were very comfortable right out of the box. No break in required, however the 8 of the 20 eyelets on my left boot have either started pulling through or have torn completely through to the next eyelet making the boots very loose and unwearable now. I always thought Danner was a quality product, but I won't be replacing these or any other footwaer I own with Dammer products!

Boots are comfortable and are great to wear but... very slippery when on oil/water. Also this is my second pair and the left boot bottem eyelet keeps comming out.
